Lake access chalet - walk to golf and lodge

2026 update: Both bathrooms are newly renovated! Welcome to our all season mountain getaway! We are a young family that use the house as much as we rent it, and love to welcome others who want to enjoy the lake and nearby community! We are located on the golf course and walkable to Indian Lake Lodge. This property comes with lake access (seasonal, details below). Close to fall, winter, and spring activities and adventures as well.

The house has 3 indoor levels with outdoor spaces that include a deck with grill and fire pit, balcony, and lower deck. Indoor includes a full, fully stocked kitchen, gas fireplace, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. All beds have clean, comfy bedding. All linens, towels, washcloths, soap and shampoo are included. First floor has 2 bedrooms and a full bath and lower outdoor deck area. The master bedroom has 1 King bed and a walk in closet that can fit a pack-n-play or crib. The second bedroom on the first floor has a bunk bed that has a full on the bottom and a twin on the top. This room has a stackable washer/dryer. Second Floor has kitchen with Keurig coffee maker, dishwasher, gas oven/stove, living room with smart TV, fireplace, dining area, full bath, and two outdoor decks (front and back). The back deck has couch seating, firepit, grill, gas tiki torches, and a small table. Third floor is a loft with a full bed, nightstands, and chair. *1 twin bed cot is also available. There is a small area to sit next to the golf course. Parking for two cars is included. The stairs are steep inside but safe and carpeted. Wifi included.

Great family weekend

We were staying for a family wedding at the Indian Lake Lodge. The chalet was a perfect location within an easy walk to the lodge and right along the golf course. The host made sure everything went smoothly during our stay. I would highly recommend staying here.

Just what we needed!

We had a great 3 days at this charming little lake chalet! It was just what our family needed as we were visiting family close by. The beds were super cozy and the loft was our daughter’s favorite spot to read. We will rent again!

Wonderful Indian lake cottage for families!

Wonderful place, nice shady backyard on the golf course, excellent kitchen for cooking, close to lodge, great communication with host. And the best part was the fantastic collection of kids books that our daughter enjoyed!

Annual Labor Day Golf Trip

We have been coming to Indian Lake for 25-years for our annual Labor Day Golf Trip. This house was ideal for the location and the size of our group. The house was very clean, numerous amentities were provided, and it was spacious. We definitely recommend this property.

Overall good. Host was responsive and helpful. Property was clean. Don’t understand why we had to strip the beds. Porches and decks could use cleaning and re-staining. Plenty of hot water and heat. I’d stay again.

Big bright windows facing a serene mountain top golf course. Nicely updated end unit with lots of space. Hosts had everything cleared, beds made, towels layed out, and plaebty of labeled light switches, remotes, and instructions on the fridge made navigating an unfamiliar home a breeze!

Weekend event at the lodge

NIce and clean, plenty of space and great location. On the golf course, and has a nice dock. We golfed and used the kayak. Easy to find and kitchen was well equipped. The stairs are very steep , so I wouldn't recommend it for anyone with mobility issues or the elderly. The main floor has a bathroom and a nice deck n fire pit. Nice outdoor comfortable furniture and grill. For us it worked out great. We had a wedding to attend at the lodge we drove to the dock it is all up hill in the way back and seemed easier to drive down.

Lucked out with this rental

At first found information on this site patchy and a little off putting, but much improved after “meeting” Jennifer, a very accommodating host. Very helpful. And this rental is outstanding in a beautiful, historic area with few services. It has it all: Laurel Highlands scenery at a beautiful time of year, Flight 93 Memorial, the small historic town of Buckstown, and the Lincoln Highway. Also a beautiful lake and golf course…! Book early!

Lake Vacation

We enjoyed our short stay at the Lake Access Chalet and would return again if we go back to the area. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies needed for preparing meals. We also enjoyed the use of kayak and stand-up paddle board. All equipment related to lake use was provided. (i.e. life vests, paddles, etc.)

Lovely place

Enjoyed our stay very much! Place was spotless and very well stocked. Only issues my husband and I encountered were that there wasn't anyplace to store out clothes in the loft area. Suggest adding a small dresser. Also, we found it difficult to get the front door to lock even after closely following the directions. We often had to lock it from the inside and go out the back door. Other then these few things we found the unit very relaxing. The lake is beautiful and the Lodge offers a nice menu.

History Needs Paradise

We had a wonderful stay with this host. The rental is midway between Ligonier and Bedford. It is minutes away from the 911 Memorial. The space is lovely and it had everything we needed to cook family meals the entire week. Super clean. I would say I can’t recall a cleaner VBRO recently. Whoever takes care of this home needs a bonus! The kids enjoyed swimming in the lake and visiting Idlewild Park. Such a beautiful, peaceful spot. We had gorgeous weather and the only point of note are the window unit ACs that might not have kept up if it were much warmer. Thanks to Jennifer and VBRO! We throughly loved it and will look forward to staying here again.
