„Well presented with table service very nice“

„Once I got my head past the idea that ‘this is not a Marriott’ I came to realize this is a great hotel. Room was comfortable. I was able to park right outside the hotel front door every night. Breakfast was good. The bar area is well presented with a good mix of locals and tourists to talk to. Room attended to daily. The local town is very pleasant. Some great coffee shops and pubs.“

„The lady that greeted us was lovely and she then told us where our room was. We hoped to eat in the hotel but was told that the chef had called in unable to cook. I tried to find out if we could get breakfast next morning but nobody came back to us. „Da wir sehr wenig Englisch sprechen, waren wir auf die Mithilfe des Pesonal angewiesen. Alle haben sofort langsam gesprochen und haben sich mühe gegeben uns alles zu erklären. Leider sprach keiner Deutsch. Wir waren mit unserem 6 jährigen Enkel dort, wenn ich es nicht verstanden habe konnte er helfen (er spricht Englisch)“

„Helpful staff , excellent room“

„Very nice, big room. Very comfortable bed, good bathroom. Lovely pub. Great cooked breakfast. Friendly, good value for money.“

„The apartment was exceptionally clean, Close to the shops , parking a little tight with a larger car , had a lovely stay“

„Very nice town!“

„The Castle House is very conveniently located and reasonably priced. Our room was gorgeous, including a wonderful tub for a relaxing bath and a huge, comfortable, fancy bed. Breakfast was delicious and packed lunches were available for us C2C hikers. Our only small gripe was that the hosts were not available in the evening to help us with laundry, but I would still recommend staying here!“

„Beautiful setting, Staff friendly and very helpful. Room was charming. Plenty of parking. We had underfloor heating and found the room too hot through the night and bed a little to hard for me. If looking for hairdryer ours was positioned behind the curtain and unable to find it when I needed it.“

„Staff were amazing 10/10 Food amazing Very accommodating Rooms says soundproof but wasn’t and corridors smell of the food, overall though we had a lovely time and used as a base and we enjoyed the food they served 10/10“
