Ski trip
Overall a very positive stay.
The apartment is in Résidence Prestige Odalys l'Éclose. We (one adult, two teenagers) stayed in a one bedroom apartment which had a double room, a bunk room and a lounge with a sofa bed. The apartment is advertised for six, which would be quite snug - for three of us it was perfect.
Key highlights:
- New property, so both the apartment and all the facilities in the building are in excellent condition
- Good general facilities - bar, breakfast available, boot room/lockers for ski equipment, underground parking, bakery deliveries in the morning.
- There is a nice pool (a bit cold) and a Spa with a sauna and steam room (over 18s only), plus a small gym with some cardio equipment.
- The location was also good. For skiing it was a short (but slightly steep/icy) walk up to the free lift that takes you to the main ski area; within 200m of the hotel there is a supermarket, several ski rental shops and a number of small restaurants and take aways; the walk into the main area of Alpe D'Huez for restaurants took about 10 minutes.
- All of the staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful. We arrived at 1pm (check in is 5pm) and were given access to our apartment.
Some things to note (didn't concern us)
The apartment didn't have toiletries or any basic kitchen cleaning kit (e.g. dishwasher tablets, cloths ), so maybe bring some basics
A 500 euro credit card deposit is required on check-in
You have to clean the room and strip bedding before leaving
