Stayed at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Baytown recently and overall it was an average experience, not quite matching the rating.
The room itself was decent and worked fine for a short stay, but there were a few issues. My wife noticed the hallway had a strong weed smell, which wasn’t ideal. There was also a beeping noise outside that went on through the night, and at one point it sounded like there was some street racing nearby.
To be fair, we travel with a fan that helps drown out noise, so it didn’t completely ruin the stay, but it’s something other guests might struggle with.
The breakfast was also pretty underwhelming compared to what we expected.
Overall, it’s okay if you just need a place to sleep, but based on the rating, I expected a bit better—especially in terms of cleanliness and overall environment.
