„Mitte Dezember 2018 waren nicht alle Zimmer belegt und so konnten wir uns das beste und größte der noch freien Zimmer aussuchen mit einem fantastischen Ausblick vom Balkon und vom Zimmer aus durch die breite Glasfront, einem Kingsize Bett und einem Einzelbett sowie sehr schönem Bad. Der Zuschnitt der Zimmer ist sehr unterschiedlich. „I cannot praise this place enough. The room was big, clean, comfortable and a lot cheaper than some of the posher hotels further down the road which probably didn't offer much more. The staff couldn't do enough to help and the hotel not only looks good but it is ideally situated in the centre of town.“

„This is my favorite spot in all of Ethiopia. It was my second stay at this hotel and proved to be as special as the first. The beds are comfortable and there was plenty of hot water for a shower. The view from the balcony is extraordinary with crows, eagles and hawks flying at by. The morning coffee was delicious and everyone was extremely accommodating and kind. I highly recommend.“

„FikirandRay is a relatively new hotel and offers comfort and quiet. It is a short walk from a restaurant with great views down the valley. The staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast was simple but good. You need a guide to get around and bargain but prices tend to be somewhat set. Lalibela is well worth seeing, which you can do in two days, or most pf it in one day.“

„I live in Addis and have been visiting Lalibela for many years - Lalibela is the first place I take my Ethiopia visitors.
