Our family (2 teenage girls and pets) took a trip back to Hot Spings during Christmas. Hot Springs is one of our favorite places to visit. We really enjoyed staying at this lakefront property (we loved playing connect four when we returned to the house late at night,too!). The property is very clean and a perfect location on the lake. From the home you could see some of the lights at Garvan and hear the music, too. We have a tradition of cooking a shrimp boil and bread pudding for our Christmas meal. We had all the necessary equipment to do so. We typically use a pot and burner outside for our shrimp boil, but we had pots and pans that allowed us to cook our meal indoors. You're just a 10-15 minute drive to downtown and all the business on Central. Some of of our favorite places to eat were closed for the holiday (we enjoy McClards and Mr. Whiskers), but were still able to eat at many of our favorites. We also took (a very long) day trip to Eureka Springs and Fayetteville during our stay. If you're looking for a quiet and relaxing space, this is a great option. It's a great place for a family of four!
