„We had the hayloft that could sleep 3 but was a win for us as a couple. It was in a out building, with easy access to the garden, bar and dining areas, but was a bit difficult to get suitcases over the gravel pathway. Very quiet, lots of space and windows to open. The restaurant meal and breakfast was fabulous.“
„Stayed overnight whilst spending a few days fishing on the local river. A warm welcome on arrival and a nice little clean room with everything I needed (comfy bed, warm shower, tv etc). Breakfast was freshly cooked and very good value at £9.85. Beer was also very good and a great selection. Staff were really friendly and happy to have a natter. Look forward to returning next year!“

„A last minute booking at this small out of the way historic inn. It was busy at the bar where we checked in so a short wait. Room was basic but well appointed, bed super comfy, shower was hot, tea and coffee in room. Self serve continental breakfast in a dining room was great. Food in the restaurant was amazing and beautifully presented. Set in a small town with adjoining farmland. Close the Hampton Court Castle and gardens.“

„Leider haben wir vom Hotel nicht viel mitbekommen, da wir ein Zimmer im lauten Hinterhof hatten. Die laute Lüftung der Küche und ein Scheinwerfer, der direkt ins Zimmer geleuchtet hat, waren ziemlich störend. Essen gab es am Tag unserer Übernachtung leider für uns nicht, da eine lokale Veranstaltung stattfand.
Man sollte auch einplanen, dass die Geschäfte im Ort (bis auf den Supermarkt) zwischen 16 und 18 Uhr schließen.“

I'm not religious but the building is beautiful and packed with history.
Unfortunately, there is some not so great items to note. The housekeeping was not good. In my opinion, the universal standard for replacing towels is to leave them in the shower/tub or on the floor which I did on two days. On one of these days the staff placed the used towels back on the towel rack and no fresh towels were given. No excuse for this type of action in the service industry. Also, the floor of my room was dirty upon arrival and never vacuumed during a 5 night stay. I did request a vacuuming but only one room was done. Full trash cans were not emptied daily. Lastly, the bedding was never changed during my stay. I requested a bedding change on the third day. The young lady simply removed the top sheet and never replaced it.
The Great Malvern Hotel is a nice hotel and I would recommend it to others but that recommendation would come with a room cleanliness caution. "
