The recreation deck at Waikiki Banyan is currently undergoing a complete transformation and is scheduled to officially reopen on April 20, 2026.



Once completed, this will be the largest recreation deck in Waikiki, entirely rebuilt with all-new amenities, landscaping, and furniture. The redesigned space will include:

• A brand-new sauna

• All new loungers and daybeds

We had an amazing stay in Honolulu. The room was great for our family and filled with all the amenities we could need! From kitchen essentials to beach gear, we had everything we could need.The layout of the room was open and had an amazing view of the city and Waikiki Beach. AND our unit was conveniently located near the laundry room, what a blessing! The accessibility of the local area was great and such a treat to be able to stroll the strip whenever we wanted. Lots of restaurants and all the shopping you can ask for. There is so much to see, and we were fortunate to be visiting during the Aloha Festivals Floral Parade.The staff at Waikiki Banyan were always polite and friendly. The Midway Vacations team made everything easy and stress free. So much so we did not have to reach out for anything during our stay.We would happily stay here again and highly recommend to others.

(Just go directly to 4th floor)The condo is at a very High floor. Clean, nicely prepared ocean view room, located in convenient Waikiki area. On Friday, I heard people's loud voices at midnight on hallway. There’s a minimart at 1F where we can buy all necessaries. A bit small 1 BR for 4 of us, 2 adults and 2 teenagers with 2 beds and one sofa bed. As previous guests mentioned parking slots are small for SUVs, watch out height. One of the four elevators was under construction, lower level guests cannot squeeze into during busy hours. Enjoyed BBQ area. Midway person responded very promptly, when ansked questions. Overall, we enjoyed our stay on Oahu.

The hotel was perfectly placed with ample garage parking. Minutes from the beach food and fun. The room was amazing with a fantastic view. I will be returning in January to stay at the same location. The unit had everything we needed, was clean and tidy, easy to navigate instructions. The only trouble we had was the coin machine for laundry in the main lobby was broken and the receptionist refused to give us coins. So bring your own coins if you need to do laundry during your stay!

Prime location!!

Great location, easiest Checkin ever, comfy beds. A few recommendations - cable TV is not desired anymore. Just upgrade to a nice $300, 55 inch smart Tv and we will logon our streaming apps. TV was old and junky, internet went down totally on our last two days.

The condo has a wonderful view and the separate bedroom is a great bonus. We had ample room for family of 4 that included two teens. The proximity to the beach and many other activities made it very easy to be in the action quickly. Room was clean and had great supplies to enjoy the beach (chairs & towels). Highly recommend this location.

Incredible views and great access

Incredible views to wake up to ever morning and the proximity to all of the restaurants and activity that Waikiki has to offer was perfect. Free parking is a huge perk to not be overlooked.

Amazing View from the 34th floor!

The view was exactly as the picture showed, a few blocks from the beach and walking distance to everything in Waikiki. The included parking is a must so you can use this as a home base for exploring all that O'ahu has to offer. On days we just stayed in Waikiki there were numerous food trucks within blocks and grabbing and bringing back to enjoy on the recreation deck was awesome. The 4 of us, 2 adults a 4 year old and 1 year old had more than enough space to relax. Will definitely be staying here again when we return to O'ahu. Mahalo!

Exactly as advertised

The property and amenities were exactly as advertised. The only complaint I have is about the elevators ... we often had to wait quite a while to be able to get an elevator car that had room for more people. Otherwise, all was wonderful.

Great location with fantastic ocean view

We enjoyed our stay at this property over the Christmas week in 2022. The location is great with easy access to the beach. Great ocean views from the bed room and the balcony. Well stocked kitchen, and overall a very well maintained place.
