Welcome to your own peaceful retreat in Acton Park, a private and comfortable one-bedroom space nestled among the bushland of a large residential property. Positioned above the garage and separate from the main residence, the accommodation offers a wonderful sense of privacy while still providing everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is particularly well suited to couples, solo travellers or those looking for a quiet base close to Hobart Airport, the Tasman Peninsula and Hobart itself.

Once upstairs, you will find a cosy, thoughtfully arranged living space with plenty of natural light and a relaxed atmosphere. The living area features comfortable seating, a 40-inch television, Wi-Fi and a Bluetooth speaker, giving you everything you need for a quiet evening after a day exploring southern Tasmania. A large reverse-cycle heat pump provides heating throughout the upstairs space, keeping the accommodation warm and comfortable during Tasmania`s cooler months.

The sleeping area features a comfortable queen bed, making the property ideal for one or two guests. Its peaceful bush setting makes nights particularly quiet, with the surrounding trees and wildlife creating a genuine country escape despite being within easy reach of Hobart.

The kitchenette is compact but very well equipped for preparing simple meals during your stay. There is a portable cooktop, air fryer, microwave, kettle, toaster and Nespresso pod coffee machine, along with the essential kitchenware, crockery, glassware and utensils required for a short stay.

There are no laundry facilities within the accommodation. For guests staying a little longer, laundromat facilities can be found in nearby Lauderdale and Sorell.

One of the highlights of staying here is the setting itself. The property sits on a large parcel of land surrounded by bush, providing plenty of opportunities to spot Tasmania`s local wildlife. Wallabies, pademelons, possums, rabbits and an abundance of birdlife are regular visitors, particularly around dusk and during the evening.

Guests are welcome to enjoy and explore the surrounding garden areas.

On-site parking is provided in a designated parking area near the garage, making arrival easy and convenient.

Despite the tranquil setting, you are only around 10 minutes from Hobart Airport and approximately 25 minutes from central Hobart. Cambridge Park is around five minutes away for shopping and everyday essentials, while Sorell is approximately 10 to 12 minutes by car and offers supermarkets, shops, cafés and other services.

Acton Park is also a convenient starting point for guests travelling towards the Tasman Peninsula, Richmond, the Coal River Valley, Hobart`s eastern shore and many of southern Tasmania`s popular attractions.

A car is strongly recommended when staying in Acton Park. The property is located in a quiet bush setting where public transport and walkable amenities are limited, so having your own vehicle will make exploring the surrounding area much easier.

There is designated on-site parking for guests near the garage. Hobart Airport is approximately 10 minutes away by car, Cambridge Park is around five minutes away, Sorell is approximately 10 to 12 minutes away and Hobart CBD can generally be reached in around 25 minutes depending on traffic.

The location is also particularly convenient for guests arriving by air or beginning or finishing a road trip through the Tasman Peninsula and southern Tasmania.

The accommodation is located above a garage on a large private property. The owners live in the main residence but keep to themselves.

This is a genuine bush setting, and wildlife is part of the experience. Wallabies, pademelons, possums, rabbits and native birds are commonly seen around the property, particularly in the evenings. Please take extra care when driving in and out of the property after dark, as wildlife can move across the driveway and surrounding roads.

Being surrounded by bushland also means that insects and the occasional creepy crawly may make an appearance despite regular cleaning and care. This is a normal part of staying in a semi-rural Tasmanian environment.

There is no dishwasher or laundry at the property. Laundromat facilities are available in the Lauderdale and Sorell areas.
