„I really really enjoyed my stay at the hotel! Its perfect place to get into the Cotswold, go on hikes or just relax. To the hotel do not expect a 5 star spa high-end hotel. This hotel has a lot of english charm which i loved!! My room just had one wardrobe with just 10 hangers ,so all the shirts and underwear stayed in the bags. „This is a little gem to find - excellent accomadation and staff along with Quiet surroundings Food id second to none with a wide range for starters and main meal.Rooms are tastefully done with all the usual requirements and fresh milk is from a vacuum flask so its all fresh. „The internet presence is far better than the actual property. The Junior Suite was filthy, the bathroom floor putrid. Booked a table for dinner at 8pm, the staff sat us but then never returned to the table. Went to the bar to order some drinks which were then served and at 8:10 the staff came to the table and asked us to quickly order as the kitchen was closing. Food was ok but nothing special. At 9:50 the staff brought us the bill and asked to settle it as they would be closing at 10pm. Paid ...

„A good choice for a visitit to Cirencester. 15 Minute walk to the town centre. Although no staff on site, the access was fairly straightforward and when I messaged witha query they replied immediately. The bedroom was nicely finished and the bed very comfortable. The en-suite shower rtoom was not finishedd to the same standard as the bedroom. Although clean, it was just a bit basic. The only other negative was the noise from the nearby main road.“

„Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Gutes englisches Frühstück. Zimmer für englische Verhältnisse erstaunlich groß und geräumig – Bad ebenso. Die tägliche Parkplatzsuche an der Straße ist bei einer Ankunft nach 18 Uhr absolut problemlos. Insgesamt hätte das Haus Potential genug. Aber Zimmer und Bad waren derartig schmutzig, dass wir unter anderen Umständen die Räume niemals bezogen hätten. Während des Aufenthaltes fand auch keine Reinigung statt. „Well run hotel in excellent location, with good parking and nice breakfast / restaurant / bar / outdoor seating. The hotel (or at least part of it) is a grade 2 listed building (dating from 1595). As a result the rooms are quite variable in size and some are up a very steep staircase, so beware when booking. Bar had 3 handpump ales which was a pleasant surprise. Excellent breakfast and evening menus. Town centre is a short 5 minute walk. Overall we were very happy with our stay.“

„Schlechte Internetverbindung, die Mitarbeiter nehmen die Anfragen der Gästen nicht ernst (ich habe drei mal gefragt ob sie eine Rechnung per email schicken können, immer freundlich am Telefon aber die Rechnung kommt aber nicht), und das Zimmer ist echt laud (Musik von der Kneipe ist genauso wie im Zimmer gespielt) ... nie wieder“

"The hotel is part of main road services on the A34. Perfect for short stay travellers. Friendly reception, large clean rooms, walk-in shower. Huge TV set with many channels. No noise from the main road and quiet carpeted roomand corridor. M&S food shop at petrol station opposite, also McDonalds. Noisy coffee shop atmosphere in the hotel restaurant. Morning walk beside the busy road supplied me not only with plenty of petrol fumes but also delicious blackberries picked fresh from the pathside bushes. Car dealerships beside the hotel's no-charge car park gave the chance to window shop. A Costa coffee shop drive-through close by seemed to typify the general mood of the area."
