Great vacation!

We have stayed at The Legends before and love the location. It’s a short walk to the beach and Gulf Place. Great space for two families with kids. We had an issue with the air conditioning not working but the owner quickly got someone out to fix it and we were good to go.

Spring Break

We really enjoyed the Santa Rosa area! We typically visit the beaches of 30a closer to PCB but loved this location. It seemed less crowded but still had a lot of great local restaurants, cafes and ice cream shops. The house was very spacious and comfortable, and in a great location. The owner was very easy to work with and communicated promptly.

Nice Condo Near Beach

We enjoyed our stay. Nice large condo with 4 bed rooms and 4 and 1/2 baths. 5 minute walk to the beach, pool and hot tub, and a tennis court. Every thing needed for a great beach vacation.

Wonderful, relaxing

He had a wonderful time! The house easily fit our group of 12. We had plenty of space & the 4.5 bathrooms made getting ready each day & evening a quick task. The deck overlooking the pool was our hangout spot. We enjoyed sitting there, playing games, and watching the kids swim. The owners were very nice and answered any questions we had. Highly recommend this place!

Great Location and Price

This condo had plenty of space for 2 families of 4 and a grandmother. It was a short walk to the beach, manageable even with a cart full of stuff and two small kids and holding chairs. To get this for the price of this condo is a bargain, I believe. I did a little more research and found a lot of other houses were much, much more expensive. That being said, I was a little disappointed in the upkeep of the house. I talked to Donna and she was very willing to have someone come back and clean whatever we had issues with. She mentioned that the family that stayed before us had left it very messy and damaged a wall so the cleaning person was rushed. We chose not to have anyone come back and we had a good time. But, normally, when I go on vacation I want my vacation home or hotel to be as nice or equal to my permanent home and I think I have to spend a lot more money to get that, or lower my expectations! This home had older fixtures in the bathrooms and a few "amenities" were missed, like a detachable shower head in the guest bath tub, a disposal, a large refrigerator/freezer. Also, be sure to put the family who wakes up earlier on the second floor. We failed to do this and therefore were not able to sleep at all once our early to wake nephew was up on the 3rd floor above us. All in all, the house was fine and a great value for the location and size. In the future, if I want pristine, state of the art renovations I will need to triple my budget!

Will return again!

Our vacation involved two families with 4 teenagers. We loved the location and felt comfortable with the teens biking or walking wherever. The house had plenty of room and was the perfect location to the pool. Our beach access was very close - just a short walk down the boardwalk. We cooked and grilled at the house several times. We had everything we needed for a wonderful vacation!

Great place in a great area

This place was perfect for our family of 11. Enough room for everyone with privacy and lots of personal bathrooms. As hort walk to the beach and places to eat. Highly recommend to anyone.

Lots of room for a large family. Lots of towels provided but kitchen needs more dish towels. I think the couch may need scotch guard and the dining room chairs need seat cushions replaced. Overall a good place to stay.

Great place to stay! It accommodated 7 adults and 4 kids with ease. Definitely coming back.

We loved our stay. The house was very spacious and accommodated our large family. It was well decorated and the beds and furniture were comfortable. The walk to the beach was not bad (would have been easier with less toys). Donna was very helpful with all of our questions. We will definitely come back!

Santa Rosa Beach vacation

The home was well cared for and up to date, and clean. We liked access to the pantry for storage needed to cook at home, bathrooms for each bedroom, and large dining table at traditional height. The update to the living area allows for more comfortable seating. The pool and hot tub arejust below our deck. The beach is within walking distance. Shops, restaurants, coffee shop within walking distance. Our grandchildren enjoy the tennis court in the evenings.

Deep Sea Fishing Getaway

We had four guys for a deep sea fishing excursion. This location had plenty of room to be very comfortable and relaxing. We felt the rate was extremely fair. Would definitely recommend this location to others!

Nice property - enjoyed the stay

The property was exactly as pictured on the website. We were able to get in right at 4pm as stated. The condo was clean and well maintained. Donna had told me there were a lot of steps and she was not kidding. From the first floor to the third there are 32 steps. I enjoyed the exercise but could see someone not liking that feature. It was very nice having the pool and hot tub right in front of us. I would recommend this property to anyone. Chris and Donna gave lots of information prior to arrival. I liked that the property was somewhat exclusive with the tree line in front of it. The walk to the beach was a little further than expected but was not too bad. I would recommend a cart or something to carry your beach gear in. Definitely helps out! We didn't get a chance to eat at any of the local places. We did go to Destin several times. Traffic to and from Destin was horrible each time we went. Just make sure you have extra time built in. One trip we ate at Bubba Gumps. It was really good. Also took the grandkids to Gulfarium. The adults said it wasn't worth the money but the kids liked it. The beach was not crowded and was clean. All in all we had a great time despite the heat and humidity. Review of legends property in Santa Rosa Beach

We found it to be a great location for our family. We had a short walk to a great for us. We had grandchildren with us age 4 through 11. The beach is beautiful and we found a place that was shallow near the beach where the little ones could play and all could ride the waves in. We often see dolphins. We took advantage of the pool and hot tub located right in front or our deck. We had a little problem with the hot tub. We called Donna and it was fixed the same day. Donna was always helpful with information, answering our questions, etc. when we were preparing to rent a place. The living space was great for us. The kitchen was well-equiped with dishes, table ware, pots and pans, etc. A half bath, pantry and laundry area were handy off the kitchen. The large dining area and living area and large deck provided enough seating for us. 4 bedrooms, each with full baths provided beds for our group of 6 adults and 8 children. We all enjoyed the TVs in the living room, and all the bedrooms - the cable and CD player intertained the children in down time and adults. We like the Santa Rosa area because the traffic is not as heavy as Destin. It is a short distance to the Destin shops and restaurants as well. We could walk to shops and restaurants in the Santa Rosa Beach. We also always love The Donut Hole for breakfast and take out donuts, Louis Louis for a nice night out, The Red Bar at Grayton Beach, and we go to Destin for Pampano Joe's. We also drive to the Seafood Market on 98 to buy fresh seafood by the pound. They season and steam it there for take out. St.Rita's Church is near. Movie theatre, boat rental.There is also plenty to do in the Destin area. If the weather is good we usually spend most or out time at the beach. We would be glad to recommend this property to friends and family.

We loved Santa Rosa Beach...the property we stayed at was average at best.

We thoroughly enjoyed Santa Rosa Beach, FL. The property at the Legends was a bit of a disappointment. When we vacation we love to cook and take advantage of the local fish and produce. We were very disappointed with the lack of clean pots, cookie sheets, and utensils. In order to cook a beef tenderloin I had to scrub and soak several pans that had baked food on them. There was sticky pot handles with paper towel stuck to them. We washed any pot or pan before the using them. I did contact the owners and speak to them about the situation. At first I felt very put off by the owner, she then offered to send her handyman to the house to address several issues. We would definitely visit Santa Rosa Beach again but would seek other options for lodging.

Great house, super responsive owner!

We made a last minute decision to go to Florida three days before Christmas. I emailed several properties and Donna responded quickly and positively! The house was amazing - roomy and comfortable, super close to the beach access (which the house we stayed in for summer vacation wasn't, and we regretted being so far away, so this was perfect), neighborhood hot tub and pool steps from the back door, quiet street with trees protecting you from traffic noise. We love the Santa Rosa area, close to Destin but no Destin traffic, and I'll never stay anywhere other than 30A after biking the 19 mile trail/walkway - LOVE that feature of the area. We asked a couple questions upon check in and the owner responded literally within minutes! I'd recommend this rental to anyone looking for beach access, lots of room, access to every type of entertainment and restaurant, super responsive owner, and great location on the coast.
