We've been to HH several times, but this was our first stay in Palmetto Dunes. The villa was beautiful and perfect for our family of 5 adults. The kitchen was fully stocked, the living room was spacious and comfortable, and the beds were good too. (We only had one minor complaint about the bedding--the sheets in the upstairs bedroom were very scratchy.)
The location of the villa is perfect. It is such a nice area and the access to Hampton Place is literally a 5 minute walk away. We walked to the beach every day and it was an easy walk, as long as you weren't taking a whole bunch of stuff to the beach. We packed light and it was fine. The beach was beautiful and never crowded. The 2 pools at Hampton Place were very nice and also never crowded. Lounge chairs at the pool were always available. The only thing missing at the pool/beach was a snack bar. We rented bikes and enjoyed riding to shelter cove and surrounding areas. Although you can bike ride to the grocery store, we felt that it was necessary to have a car. It's fun to visit the other plantations and without a car you are very limited.
While we were there we had a clogged drain in the master bathroom shower. We called the manager and they sent someone out the same day to fix it. We also had some problems with the internet in one of the bedrooms, which we didn't ask to be fixed b/c we weren't using it.
I would highly recommend this villa. It is clean, well-kept and the location is great! Make sure you visit shelter cove and eat at Poseidon while you are there. Check out Sea Pines for the nightly entertainment and shopping and take a short drive to Caligny for ice cream, mini golf and more shopping. Great for families of all ages!!
