„The room and hotel was elaborate and classy, with a kingsize 4 poster bed. The drapes around the bed and at the window, were swags and tails, with the period furniture that fits in with the hotel. All very grand. The only downfall was that the window was a bit shaky causing a banging noise, which disturbed our sleep at times.“

„A beautiful location. Staff were friendly and helpful, particularly the lady on the front desk when I arrived in the afternoon and a lady serving drinks in the dobby bar. The pool is fab, as was the steam room. The food was nice. On the whole a very relaxing stay, with good staff to help you. The hotel is perhaps a little dated but still perfectly lovely for a relaxing stay in the lakes. “

„Dank des frisch renovierten und großen Zimmers war der Aufenthalt insgesamt okay. Allerdings ließ der Service wg. zu wenig Personal, ergo nicht abgeräumte Frühstückstische, schleppender Check in, Zimmer wurden nicht gemacht sehr zu wünschen übrig. Das Frühstück war mäßig (kein Obst, bis hin zur Kaffeetasse und zum Messer musste alles selbst an den Tisch gebracht werden). Als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen und die Schiffsfahrt über den See ist das Hotel aber sehr geeignet. “

„The staff were all wonderful. So friendly and helpful. The lady who was on the night time reception was just amazing! Because of the staff, I would book again. Yes, the hotel badly needs refurbished, but renovations were being done. I look forward to seeing the place when they are completed. Breakfast was good. “

„We had a great 6 day stay at the Damson Dene. All the staff are super friendly. Had a couple of SPA treatments with Sharon, they were amazing and so reasonable priced. The food in the hotel was superb. The breakfast was plentiful and the evening meals were delicious. The only issue we had was with housekeeping. Over the six days we were there they only made up our room twice. Once we did put the "do not disturb" up as my husband wasn't feeling great. I had to request for them to go in on ...
