Birthday Break

Really great weekend. Jan showed us around and then left us to enjoy ourselves. The lodge was very clean and welcoming. Indoor pool was fantastic as the weather wasn’t the best. The only downside we had was that the grassed area was very long and not ideal for the 3 children to play with a ball. Also was not sure where the outdoor was?? But overall great stay.

Great Swimming Pool

The swimming pool is very good and our party, particularly the children, had great fun in it. Whilst we enjoyed our weekend, the lodge itself would benefit from a refresh. The upstairs kitchen is out of action so guests are reliant on the downstairs kitchen that has a small built in fridge plus a freezer in the stables across the yard. To cater for larger groups, the lodge would be better served by a large fridge freezer and dishwasher.

Complete Rip off!! Avoid at all costs!!!

Total misrepresentation. Filthy bathrooms with mould. No internet (unless to go to the far corner in the top bed room and sit near the window). HUGE legal documents sent after we had paid in full and could not change. No one allowed to visit us despite the fact that we were trying to meet family, having traveled from Australia. DO NOT USE this place.

best pool ever

If your looking for a warm indoor pool this is it. 86 degrees Living room was a bit small but huge back yard to play baseball volleyball or badminton. Wifi a bit slow but he was going to have them come out once we left. Easy access and exit to town. Fresh eggs down the rode too. Small water park near by and fishing too.

Perfect for anyone!

Quiet location, picturesque views but still only a short distance from Henley in Arden and Stratford-upon-Avon. Great communication from owners.

Wonderful hosts in a fantastic location

David and Jan are fantastic hosts, friendly and accommodating! They made us feel very welcome and generously gave us extra time when we needed it. The location of the house is very peaceful and quiet, with shops and amenities a mere 10 min drive away. The lodge was comfortable and clean and kitchen fully stocked. We enjoyed the pool which is heated and a fabulous size for large parties. We ended our stay with a treat of 2 boxes of delicious organic eggs and wouldn't hesitate to go back again! Thank you very much David and Jan for making our stay so enjoyable :))

A relaxing and quiet getaway

Ling Lodges was fantastic. We needed a quiet place away from the city to relax for a few days and this location was perfect. The property, grounds and pool were clean and very well maintained, and David, our host was very friendly and accommodating. The pool is big enough for light swimming and a very pleasant surprise - clean and well maintained with on site changing and toilet facilities. The local pub is a very pleasant 30 minute walk through the countryside via marked bridal paths and footpaths, (our host was kind enough to give us directions!} and is well worth a visit, for its food and drink and picturesque setting. The local town is only a 10 minute drive so access to supermarkets and takeaways is easy too! We all enjoyed ourselves immensely and would definitely visit again!

My 40th Birthday Stay at the Lodge

10 girls stayed at the lodge. We were greeted at the Lodge by David, he showed us around the lodge and pool. Showed us the how to open and close the gates. He was very accommodating and anything we needed we texted or rang it was done instantly. David had very kindly bought us a magnum of prosecco and even put it in a ice bucket for us. He had also provided milk, cereal and a few other bits. The lodge is perfectly situated surrounded by beutiful countryside and villages. We looked out the windows to sherp and horses. The lodge has two kitchen areas, plenty if bathrooms for 10 adults and 10 comfortable beds. The lodge us very clean. All of us felt comfortable and st home once we got there, it was very chilled and relaxed. The lodge has a outdoor sitting area which also has s bbq you can use. The pool was just perfect, it's actually larger then it looks in the photo. It was so nice relaxing in the pool, the pool has it's own shower room too. We stayed in and cooked a meal and had a few drinks Friday and then went to Greek restauraunt El Greko on the Saturday (amazing food and Greek dancing). We couldn't have wished for a better place to stay, and the owners couldn't do enough for us. It was just an amazing weekend, we will definitely be going back to the lodge soon on a reunion :). Really cant recommend this place to stay for s break away, perfect for 10 adults and would most definitely bring my family here to stay.

Limited pool hours, not very convenient, poor cleanliness, on the website they mention they offer towels, we needed to go buy some... needs a good makeover. Good size pool tough. Friendly owners.

Great location, great facilities - welcoming hosts

11 of us stayed to celebrate a friends birthday and we had a superb stay! Jan and David were really welcoming when we arrived even though traffic delayed us and we were late arriving but they didn’t mind at all. The Lodge was really clean and warm and Jan had left us some cakes and a welcome pack of other stuff which meant we could all settle in with a cup of tea and a biscuit which was great. The lodge is in a fabulous situation and because it is behind electric gates it felt very secure and safe. We all went to the local Pub on the first night which is only 5 minutes away and on the second night we went to El Greco Greek Restaurant in Stratford which was a really fantastic night out with good food, lively atmosphere, and less than 15 minutes away by Taxi. The indoor heated Pool at the Lodge is truly fantastic! This made our stay so wonderful and was the reason that we booked originally. It really is amazing. When we first started looking we thought a private indoor pool was way out of our budget and when we saw this property we were a bit worried what it would be like as it was a lot cheaper than most other places we could have booked - but it really was a fantastic place to stay. We can’t recommend it highly enough. We all agreed that we will definitely go back for another stay as soon as we can find a reason.

Fanstastic stay

I booked here for a girls weekend away. Nine of us stayed in total. All of the bedrooms were clean and bright and airy and we felt at home straight away. Three bathrooms meant getting changed was quick and easy and there was loads of hot water. The hairdryers in the bedrooms were a nice touch too. David was very helpful in the period leading up to our arrival with answering my questions and helped me with local Restaurant suggestions etc. When we arrived at the Lodge we were so delighted with how lovely it all was. After a quick show around by Jan we were left to our own devices and headed straight for the swimming pool. It is fantastic! It was lovely & warm and so clean. The weather was not great and so to have the pool to use was really important because walking around Stratford in the pouring rain would not have been much fun. In the evening we all went into Henley and had a lovely meal out at The Bluebell. All in all a fab weekend away and one we certainly hope to repeat sooner rather than later.

Great Place really enjoyed our time there

We were a group of 10 friends who went to stay at the Lodge and what a great choice of house we made. We were met by David and shown around. He was very friendly & helpful and gave us tips on what to do and where to eat out. Jan had left us some cakes out which was a lovely touch. The website pictures do not do the place justice. The pool is much bigger than it looks. We had a fabulous time. The Lodge was lovely and warm inside which was important because it was a very cold weekend. The rain didn’t worry us because we just spent time inside in the warm swimming pool which was great. Some of us are already talking about going back next year to stay. There’s a lovely patio that you could bbq on in good weather and loads of space to park cars. We walked over the field to the local Pub and had a great Dinner. A fantastic weekend, can’t wait to go back.
