Hotel room was very nicely laid out, providing great value. Unfortunately that’s where things largely stop.
Check-in was chaos, though to be fair it appears as if the hotel was a primary hotel for a kids hockey tournament.
Upon checkin, services purchased via Expedia (and also offered on Marriott’s website) was defined. Specific tickets for Hamilton war plane museum (entire reason for stay).
Staff initially brushed it off promising to review and resolve. Hours later I had to initiate with front desk to rectify. Staff contacted their “manager” and returned with tickets to another museum (Hamilton Art Museum) which is on Marriott’s website for $10 cheaper per night! - total bait and switch.
Hotel room, while laid out nicely, is not soundproofed. Was kept awake until nearly midnight by loud tvs. Staff no where to be found to rectify the issue.
Giving hotel 3 stars, could easily have been a 4 or even 5 if any one of the problems was taken seriously and corrected.
