Haliburton Highlands to the Ottawa Valley: Top-Hotelbewertungen

Somerset Lakeside Resort

10/10 Hervorragend

"We stayed at the Resort to do the geocaching Geotour in and aroud Wilburforce. Most other places were either booked or they already wrapped up operations for the season. The cabin was great, quiet and well-equipped with everything you need. Check-in and parking was easy and we truly enjoyed our stay. Food at the restaurant was of high quality, so we ate there 2.5 times in 3 days. We arrived around 7:30 p.m. on our second day to eat and the cook already left, because nobody showed up all evening (too late in the season). Officially, last seating is at 8 p.m. and the restaurant is open until 9 p.m., but we understood why they closed early that day. The owner (?) immediately offered to cook for us instead, so we ordered pizza which he personally brought to our cabin. The cabin was clean, the shower had lots of hot water and we were very comfortable during our stay. The wifi was a bit spotty, broke up time and again, but that's the price you have to pay when you book a cabin in the middle of quaint nowhere, a cabin which is the most distant of all their cabins. Since we did not finish the GeoTour this time, we will have to return, maybe next year."
