The Grand Palladium and Lady Hamilton Resort is stunning! It’s well maintained and the staff is nice. We stayed in a Bungalow at the Signature Room, which has upgraded amenities, a private pool, and private beach access, with welcome and departure gifts. The ocean view balcony has a stunning view. The room could use some TLC-the tv was in and out, the mattresses are hard, and we had to call maintenance a couple times. The food was just okay and the classic dishes at the ala carte restaurants are prepared differently from what we’re used to. The stand out was the pool areas, nightly activities, endless drinks, and the helpful, friendly staff. After leaving the hard bed, the beauty of the property made up for some of the issues we experienced. Summer vacation with husband and we enjoyed ourselves. 7/10. Couldn’t been an 8 had there not been so many issues with the bungalow, which is supposedly more luxury.

The staff were amazing

We enjoyed our stay and the amenities were very nice to have, especially since we had two kids with us. There were plenty of choices for restaurants, easy to get reservations, and our kids took advantage of the snorkel gear, basketball courts, and swimming pools. We mostly loved the beaches and clear blue water that the kids loved swimming in every day! Our first day started off rocky with our reservations either being incorrect or our room was simply not ready when we were scheduled to arrive (no clear answer from the staff on the problem). It ended up being over an hour before we could get into our room and unwind from traveling. The staff ended up getting us situated and was helpful from there forward, though. The one thing that we were less than happy about was the food quality and service at some of the restaurants. Not all of course, as we really enjoyed the Italian restaurant, the sports bar, and especially the jerk chicken shack! But others were not great and the seafood restaurant was quite disappointing both in food quality and service. Our biggest complaint was the staff stationed around the resort constantly trying to upsell us on services. From the concierge staff at the front desk to the massage crews stationed all over the place, we were getting stopped from staff pushing us on additional services constantly. Lastly, not against the resort, but it's a 45 minute ride to Montego Bay and Negril, and no excursions take off from Lucea that we saw.

Buffett was terrible, food sat out for what looked like hours. Wait staff was not friendly and seemed as if everything was a hassle, even just getting coffee. The only way to get decent service was to ensure you left a modest tip, for everything, the staff definitely talks to each other and labels those who don’t tip well or at all. It was very obvious
