„We had such a nice time! It was a pre season (for the area) trip for work but everything was great! Cabins clean with every amenity we could have asked for! Comfy bed, good shower! All in a great stay! Very nice owner!“

„Like an earlier reviewer said, a terrific spot. “Rustic” is well deserved but in a good way.Only quibble is downstairs bathroom is stated to be in basement but descending via pretty “rustic” stairs. Would have been nice for pictures of the downstairs bathroom and the stairs. It was okay but surprisingly rough. All in all, liked the place quite a bit. Just surprised at the basement stairs being a bit of a challenge and a very, very basic downstairs bathroom.A good stay at a good place!“

„The cottage was clean and well appointed. The beds were comfortable, We really enjoyed and made good use of the fire pit. It was all set up and ready to light. Southwest Harbor is my favorite place to stay on the island. It is much less touristy than Bar Harbor but still has some good dining options as well as a nice coffee shop. We had a great stay.“

„The cabin is close to Acadia National Park in Manset. It is very cozy inside and out. The bedroom, in particular, is nice and cozy and a great retreat after a long day of hiking. The kitchen is also very well equipped, and we were able to cook great meals. There are little signs everywhere explaining how everything works. That was very helpful. „Heavily misrepresented surrounded on three sides by construction equipments and various piles of refuse. Shed is divided in two, with construction porta potty as only restroom. Shower set up is illegally with dirty shower water going directly onto the forest floor, an environmental hazard. Entire area was dirty and porta potty was full. Was forced to find a different room last minute because the host was completely non responsive to multiple Messages and attempts to reach them. Only plus is that ...

„This cottage was a pleasant change from the bustle of Bar Harbor. Although its small and cozy, it had what we needed for a short term stay. Barring a few check-in inconveniences, it was comfortable and we especially enjoyed the firepit that we spent time at after a long Acadia Park hiking adventure.“

„What a great place to relax. The property abuts the shore--maybe a 60-second stroll down a grassy, gentle slope where adirondacks and the dock await. „We were fortunate to be able to stay at The Nub again this year, and it remains our favorite place to stay. Spending days hiking the mountains of Acadia and returning to The Nub at night is incredibly restorative. Angela is a great host, receptive to all of our needs, even those we didn't know we had! „We had an absolutely beautiful week in the beach cottage. The setting is stellar, the cabin is adorable and we slept with the doors wide open, lulled to sleep by the gentle waves. We swam and fished off the dock, had cocktails at sunset and coffee in the Adirondack chairs as the sun came up. Just an idyllic week, we are already dreaming about coming back!“

„We had a great stay at Tammy’s cottage and would happily return. We prefer staying in the Southwest/Bass harbor area when visiting Acadia to escape the crowds while still having great food only 5 minutes away like Archie’s Lobster. Our dog also had a great time and the cottage had all the basic cooking & grilling essentials so we cooked for most meals. Thank you Tammy so much for having us and being a great host. “

„This room is perfect for someone who is traveling or needs to stay the night on passerby travel. Very simplistic, but as long as you’re okay with minimals, it’s worth it. The host is very kind and helpful. The only thing (I’m sure you can ask if you need to) is first pulling up to the room, it’s a little further back down the driveway on the right. Other than that, perfect.“

"Brandnew Hotel in Bar Harbor with all most modern amenities and thoroughly styled. We were staying for 3 nights with 2 standard king rooms booked on ground floor and got an upgrade to 3rd floor for a huge corner room for the parents and an adjacent big room for our kids. The breakfasts were awesome, not the usual hustle and bustle of a buffet, but a choice of either hearty or sweet breakfasts were served on porcelain at our table with cutlery and cloth serviettes, along with a choice of orange juice and coffees or teas and fruits. Also the afternoon tea and cookie hour was a very nice asset. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay between the year end's holidays."

"Wir waren sehr zufrieden (große/ schöne) Zimmer. Wir hatten zwei Schlafzimmer (mit einem King- Bett für uns Erw. und ein Zimmer mit 2 französischen Betten für unsere Teenies). Bad war etwas klein, aber ok. Umgebung toll und nah zum Acadia NP. Frühstück war in Ordnung! Man konnte sich vieles kostenlos leihen (Beachchairs, Wanderstöcke, Stirnlampe) und es gab immer kostenlos Obst, Kaffee& Tee. Wir würden definitiv wieder hier buchen, Preis- Leistung stimmt! Thank you"

"Die Zimmer sind veraltet und extrem ringhörig. Das Bett war extrem umbequem. Es gibt in der nähe kein Frühstücksangebot. Das Restaurant vom Hotel hat zwar ab 8 Uhr geöffnet es wird aber auch beim Frühstück die gleiche Karte wie beim Abendessen angeboten. Das Abendessen war gut jedoch schliesst das Restaurant bereits um 20 Uhr."

Location and service are ok, price too high

"Good central location, service is alright, rooms are clean and everything works. Furniture and interior are rather dated and only medium quality. Air condition works, but is very loud. Daily rate is significantly too high for the service and room you get. "
