Host has thought of everything—spices and cookbooks in the kitchen, variety of toiletries and hygiene items in the bathroom, books and magazines, variety of games for all ages, even a hammock! She even provided yummy snacks. Will definitely stay here again next time we’re in the area.“

„Excellent place to stay to explore the eastern portion of the Shawnee National Forest. We used it as a launching point to see the Garden of the Gods, Cave in Rock, and Dixon Springs State Park. Wish we had another day to do more exploring. The cabin is secluded, so stock up on groceries and charcoal for the grill before you arrive. Kitchen was well stocked with pans and utensils that made cooking meals easy. It was comfortable, clean and peaceful. I will definitely stay there again the ...

„Property was great!! My wife and I visited the area to check out Shawnee Forest and other surrounding areas. This cabin was very well located for us. The interior was fantastic. Anything you may have wanted was there. The bed was super comfy and clean. The bathroom was very well stocked and very clean as well. We would 100% stay here again if we come back through the area. Thanks for a great stay!!“

„My family had a wonderful little getaway! The cabin was very cozy and quaint, just perfect! We also appreciated the coffee and condiments in the fridge as a courtesy. It was very windy weather when we visited, so we did not end up using the paddle boat or kayaks. However, my kids loved the floating raft off the dock and we all enjoyed the hot tub! Perfect location in Southern IL and would most definitely stay at a property of Kris’ and her husband’s in the future!! “
