„The hotel is close to the hovercraft ferry. I had to call someone to check in, since the reception is not staffed all the time. I was traveling by bicycle and they have a shed for safe storage. The breakfast is chosen from a menu with a few options. Restaurants are about a 10 minute walk away. The shower had very low waterflow. “

„Wir hatten eine wunderbare Suite mit zwei getrennten Zimmern. Das Mobiliar ist eher Antik, aber in Ordnung. Ein schönes, großes Bad. Einziger Nachteil man hört die Straße sehr laut, wenn man nach vorne raus wohnt. Alle Bedienungen waren sehr freundlich das Frühstück war toll.“

Bed looked like it's been slept in already. No towels provided. There was a kettle and some tea in the room, but no cups to make it in. Shared toilet and bathroom, dirty, no soap, no shampoo. „Stayed at Darwin House and the experience was pretty poor. The room I originally booked was already being used by another guest, with her belongings everywhere, so I was moved to Room 1. The phone number provided for help wasn't even in service at the time. The property itself is filthy - the room was just about liveable for one night, but I didn't feel comfortable sleeping in the sheets. It feels more like a bedsit or HMO than proper guest accommodation. The rooms smell strongly of mould and ...

„Property was clean and as a family we felt safe staying there. Room was a nice size and our stay there was good. The parking outside was often difficult to find spaces and due to permit holder restrictions 4:30pm-6:30pm you have to lose your space every day you stay. If you have a large vehicle you need to park I would not recommend any accomodation in this area. Not the fault of the owner though and if you don't require parking for a large vehicle it's a fine accomodation.“

„This is the worst place I have ever stayed in. The photos do not reflect the disrepair of the place. The photos of the room showed towels and when we arrived there were no towels. We were unable to take a shower before going out to our party. Very disappointing after a very warm day. When we got into bed one side of the bed was broken and I collapsed onto the floor. Do not book this place.“

„Booked on the day and confirmation came through. On arrival at the property I hadn’t received the access code. After several phone calls and a chat with a Virtual Assistant. It transpired that the room was occupied. Expedia when contacted apologised and said It would be resolved in the next 72 hours.Thiis is of no help when you need a room at the time VERY DISAPPOINTING. Still awaiting resolution and refund“
