„A perfectly pleasant hotel, if a little generic, What it lacked in atmosphere as a place, was lifted by the helpful, friendly and cheerful staff, who went out of their way to make us feel at home.“

„The Boathouse (or to people like me who haven’t been in Norfolk for 15 odd years - the former Eels Foot) is a fantastic location for short or longer stays, with the broads, Great Yarmouth, Norwich and north Norfolk all easily reachable from here. The pub / restaurant is beautiful, and serves excellent food. Breakfast is a-la-carte and is excellent for the price. „Lovely big bathroom , very comfortable bed. Parking wasn’t a problem at all as parking right outside on the street .“

„We only stayed for one night but it was brilliant. The cupcakes, milk and eggs left for us were a really lovely touch. My granddaughter was so sad to leave that we will bring the whole family next summer.“

„This hotel is very well situated, the parking is a bonus and the views from the restaurant are stunning. The food was well cooked and the waiting staff were very friendly and helpful. We appreciated the age of the building and the reason why there was no lift but we struggled somewhat to lug two suitcases up to the top floor as our room was in the converted attic. „Liked how the staff upgraded us and were responsive to our feedback. Liked the bed and linen, and how, mostly, the apartment was clean. Liked how Oulton Broad North railway station was walkable, and how room 11 has a parking space - if hard to find and quite tight. The place was good value. Not so good: There was a stained grey rug in the living area that needs replacing. We didn’t have a tea towel or oven gloves until we asked. There was no bath mat - and not enough hooks to hang towels on.“

„lovely breakfast clean“

„Clean but a little dated hotel. Only one tiny bottle of shampoo / shower gel provided in the bathroom.“
