"Der Meerblick war sehr schön. Die Betten waren bequem und sauber. Ansonsten merkt man, dass die Zimmer schon etwas älter sind bzw. etwas ramponiert. Flecken auf den Vorhängen und auf dem Teppich. Das Frühstück hat uns begeistert. So lecker Auswahl und alles frisch. "

"Wir haben ein sehr schönes Eckzimmer mit tollem Bad und Aussicht auf den Strand bekommen. Das Personal war sehr professionell und freundlich. Der Poolbereich ist sehr groß und für jeden Bedarf ausgestattet. Lediglich das Buffet könnte etwas hochwertiger sein. "

"Our experience at the Dorsett Gold Coast was mixed. The breakfast buffet is located in a separate building (another hotel) and was overcrowded, with only moderate quality. We were given the wrong breakfast time when we asked, and most coffee machines were out of order – only two were working for all guests. The atmosphere was hectic, and the price was not justified. The room was acceptable for a 4-star hotel but on the lower end of the standard. Service at the pool was poor. Parking is available in the neighboring building, which is close. "

"We chose the Langham for the pool/beach vibe and we were very disappointed. The pool is way to small and completely overcrowded - mostly with kids (just compare how small the pool is compared to the number of rooms in the three towers). This means you won’t have a sun-bed or seat, and if, you’ll just hear shouting kids the whole day. It takes 30-40 min to get a drink at the pool-bar. We asked the hotel reception if they can organize us access at some other hotel’s pool (we would have been glad to pay for a day-pass elsewhere), but the hotel didn’t bother checking properly. However, the hotel did provide us with cabanas at the beach (and a basket with food), which was a nice gesture but didn‘t make up for our bad overall experience. Then as for the restaurants: the Chinese restaurant was amazing, the other one was horrible (long waiting time, almost an hour to get two undercooked meat-mains - we paid, didn’t eat anything and left). On a more positive note, the room was pretty amazing. My partner and I reside mostly in luxury hotels and this one was the most disappointing experience we encountered yet (biggest gap between expectations and experience). We did a 3-week trip through Australia and we were most excited about the Gold Coast - it turned out to be the worst part of our journey."
