Dieses charmante, neu renovierte Ferienhaus liegt günstig zwischen Grafton und Alton, IL auf der Klippe, hoch über dem Mississippi River und der Great River Road. Dieses Cottage mit 2 Schlafzimmern befindet sich in einer privaten, bewaldeten Umgebung, ideal für Ihre Vogel- und Tierbeobachtungen. Wir haben viele Adler, Truthähne und Hirsche gesehen.

Obwohl es in der Hütte kein Internet gibt, gibt es einen Flussblick mit Internet in der Nähe. Handy-Service ist gut. Auch für diejenigen, die länger bleiben möchten, gibt es 10% Rabatt für wöchentliche und 15% für monatliche Aufenthalte.

Place is quite and immaculate. I was able to navigate the stairs to the cottage but the stairs to the bedrooms were rougher than I expected so I ended up sleeping downs stairs which was fine. We saw lots of wildlife and enjoyed the rainy lazy day. A little disappointed that the bench pictured over the river was not as secluded as I thought it was. It is beautiful but close to another cottage/cabin. Over all very relaxing stay in a beautiful setting.

The cabin was quiet and we saw several animals and birds. Nice getaway. I am sure I missed about all the stairs to get to the cabin and for the sleeping quarters. It would be a plus to add a hide away bed for sleeping downstairs.

It was comfortable. The stirs to the bedroom were tricky because I have two artificial knees, but the beds were comfortable and the rooms were a nice size. We enjoyed the grill and the beautiful setting. We would stay here again.

This property and its Hosts were very accmidating, friendly and gave us a lot of information about the history and surrounding area of the property. Absolutely recommended especially if your looking for a place that feels like "hone". Plenty to do or not do from exploring the historic towns and parks near by to just sitting on the porch and watching the wildlife stroll or fly by.

We really enjoyed the cabin. It was exactly what we needed. Super cute and perfectly secluded back in the woods. The short walk down to the cabin from where you park isnt for anyone with any handicap. The stairs going up to the bedroom were angled and not to my liking (as im getting older). We loved the peace and quiet. The beds were very comfortable. In the picture you see the steps down to the house and in the directions it mentions the stairs. This plump, arthritic granny did not note those two things. Still I would be happy to go back

The property is beautiful. We decided to sleep downstairs with access to bathroom without going down steps. There is no BR upstairs. But they have multiple recliners and a cozy sofa so we were comfy. Very private and quiet. Great place to reset.

Really enjoyed the privacy, country type setting and view of Mississippi. Lots of history in this area and did a lot of touring each day. It was a perfect spot to return to for relaxation.

We had never been to this area before and were pleasantly surprised on how beautiful it is. The cabin was nice and very simple. Could use better stairs for the walkway down to the cabin, it was easier to walk in the grass. The stairs to the upstairs where the bedrooms are, very tricky. They are steep with a curve at the bottom, which made nighttime trips to the bathroom difficult. There is a picture on VRBO that shows a bench looking out over the rivers “a beautiful view” this is not at the Cabin. I assumed it was from the pictures listed of the cabin. This is a walk down the road. I don’t think the bench would hold much weight or 2 people. That whole area was not very pleasant or inviting. We woke to a warm refrigerator, but that was replaced with a new one that day. We enjoyed our stay but it would have been a problem getting anyone up to the bedrooms or down the stairs into the cabin if they had any kind of a handicap.

This bluff top cottage is the perfect place to stay if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle. It is quiet and a great place to relax. It was very clean and orderly. We found it very homey. The only problem we had was the slope of the yard. And the stairs to the bedrooms. My husband is handicapped and had a little difficulty getting around the place. Though overall it is a wonderful escape.

It was very enjoyable to hit the pillow at the lane house after lots of hiking along the Mississippi & Missouri 😊 our evenings cooking & sitting on the porch were a true delight. Loved the quiet, the cool bedrooms upstairs & the sights of owls, cardinals, deer & the sound of the locust’s & thunderstorm was a bonus!
