„The Royal is a great hotel situated in the quaint village of Heysham.
We loved our stay. Lots of nice walks and history. The hotel has a very relaxed and chilled atmosphere.
The food is excellent and all staff are friendly and display excellent communication and customer service skills.
Everwhere is spotlessly clean. Free parking is an added bonus.

„Das High Grassings B&B ist in einem sanierten Landhaus und liebevoll eingerichteten Gästezimmern und Wohnbereichen untergebracht. Das Gebäude ist alleinstehend in sehr ruhiger Lage an einem Hang gelegen. Die Straße ist einspurig und wird kaum befahren. Parkplätze sind vorhanden. "The historic building is fabulous, the atmosphere great, it's the pole position in Windermere, great view on the lake. I wonder if it is necessary that during the summer season the building is under construction. With scaffoldings in front of the windows, some parts of the building beside the entrance in bad condition, and even a corridor we had to pass everyday was stuffed with furniture, cardboard boxes ... This is not the atmosphere for holidays. Due to repairs on some wires, the internet connection broke down every night. The location is great, but there's some work to do to bring it back to its standard. "
