Great location and a very supportive host who was easy to communicate with! Check-in and check-out were seamless and the things that mattered most in the apartment -- the toilet, shower, and bedding were extremely clean. The building was also very quiet, which was great.That said, the apartment did have a faint cigarette odour and was noticeably dingier than it appeared in the photos. Nothing was broken, but the carpets, walls, and other finishes were clearly in need of some TLC and didn't quite match the condition shown in the listing photos.The building itself was okay, although the common areas were extremely dirty. Since you're staying in the apartment rather than the hallways or elevator, this wasn't a major issue for us. The cleanliness of the apartment itself was what we would expect. We would, however, recommend taking the stairs as the elevator had a strong smell of vomit and was quite dirty.The location is perfect and very central to many areas you'd likely want to visit in Glasgow. There is also a Tesco near by which is great for groceries and being able to cook in the apartment. Overall, the host was excellent and the apartment was clean where it mattered most, but the condition of the apartment fid not match the photos.
