„Das Hotel liegt an einer lauten Straße, aber die Fenster dämmen recht gut, trotzdem kann man ohne Ohrstöpsel sicherlich nicht gut schlafen. Sonderbar war das Waschbecken mitten im Zimmer und die Armatur für die Dusche (in der Badewanne) befand sich 10 cm über dem Boden außerhalb der Wanne. Sehr umständlich. Aber das japanische Frühstück war einfach toll, wir freuten uns immer darauf, da es lecker und frisch war. Es gab für Europäer zwar auch eine Auswahl, aber die japanischen Leckereien waren ...

„The Executive room was grand, complimented by high ceilings and just an overall large space compared to many other hotels/inns one would expect in Japan. The room was clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable (much larger than your typically king size) after your long days in Kyoto. The hotel is located in Gion and is a quiet and beautiful neighborhood in Kyoto, nestled in between the main touristy area and Marayuma park. There is a Family mart just outside the hotel and a coin laundry - ...

„Great staff, hotel provided enjoyable extras that made it even more memorable for our family of four such as baking bread over night in your room, walking lanterns, early morning walking tours, evening tea. Our triple room was perfect for our family. Loved the location in Gion, easy to walk to many prime locations.“

„Die Unterkunft befindet sich gleich beim Yasaka Schrein, jedoch an einem ruhigen Eckchen. Die Hokan-ji Pagode in Higashiyama hat man vom Ryokan aus in 5-10 Gehminuten erreicht. Das Personal ist extrem Freundlich. Es ist ein wenig teuer, doch wir wurden nicht enttäuscht und bekamen hier die volle Ryokan Experience, welche wir uns auch erhofft haben. Vielen Dank und gerne wieder.“

„Die Lage der Unterkunft war super und das Personal nett. Ich finde schade, dass es keine Möglichkeit gibt, seinen Koffer vernünftig zu verstauen. Der Schlafsaal steht voll mot Gepäck. Auch finde ich den Duschraum etwas klein für so viele Personen. Alles in allem dennoch eine gute Unterkunft :-)“

„Das kleine Ryokan liegt sehr ruhig aber trotzdem mittendrin. Das Essen ist hervorragend. Der Service im Restaurant sehr gut. Den Empfang empfanden wir als sehr unfreundlich, es war während des gesamten Aufenthalts so gut wie keine Verständigung auf Englisch möglich. Das Internet geht gar nicht, darauf angesprochen nur Schulterzucken. Die Zimmer sind relativ klein. Es gibt keine Schrankfächer, nur ein paar Bügel, um Dinge zu verstauen. Insgesamt stimmt das Preis-/Leistungsverhäktnis nicht!“

„Very nice and modern hotel with a cute little bar. Breakfast was good but not the best we've had on our trip (especially the scrambled eggs and the bread) and didn't motivate us to visit again after two days. Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel lies right next to a temple and Gion which is beautyful to walk home in the evening and the kyomizu dera temple can be reached by a 20 minutes walk“

Some of the nearby dining was fantastic and less than a two minute walk from the hotel. Hotel was extremely clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend. “
