Charming Miners Cottage in the Hip City of Geelong

ABOUT OUR COTTAGE
My Mum and I purchased this little cottage back in 2010 from the sons of its original owner. The house was in its original 1910 condition before we renovated it and had it as a rental until FEB 2020 when we decided to embark on the hosting adventure.

Our Cottage is conveniently located within walking distance to GMHBA Stadium, South Geelong train station, Geelong CBD and the beautiful waterfront hosting a number of incredible cafes and restaurants . Be sure to checkout the hip Lt Malop Street precinct and surrounding art galleries.

A short drive will see you heading down the surf coast and Great Ocean Road, making our Cottage the perfect location to enjoy all that The Greater City of Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula has to offer.

The cottage has two bedrooms and accommodates 6 comfortably: A queen bed in the main with enough space to have a Porta cot or bassinet upon request These along with baby equipment mentioned in the next paragraph incur a hiring fee.
The second bedroom has a double bed and bunk beds. The house has a fully equipped modern kitchen with dishwasher, oven, cook top, coffee machine, microwave and many more appliances. A high chair is available for families to use along with kids utensils, plates, bowels and cups. A booster pad for the dining chairs can also be supplied upon request.
ADDITIONAL FEES:
If traveling with a baby we can also supply a baby bath (either a stokke tub for 1-4 years or a Lumi on a stand with infant insert) a change mat, rocker, play mat and pram upon request. We supply baby towels , and linen and doona for the porta cot. An additional fee is required for these items to cover cleaning cost and use.
OUTSIDE;
Outside you can relax in the garden whilst utilising the BBQ, which I has a gas bottle attached. BBQ utensils are kept in a sealed tub under the BBQ.

There is a Hills rotary clothes line for pegging out your clothes if you do not wish to use the dryer. This has a cover, which converts the line to a umbrella.

There is a coffee style table a two seater chair and two single chairs - with cushions.
There is also a bench seat.
On the front verandah there is a table and two chairs, where you can sit and bask in the morning sun whilst enjoying a tea or coffee (suppled along with sugar UHT milk, juice , a choice of breakfast cereal, margarine, eggs and bread. A bottle of wine is also included).
We have two raised garden tubs with herbs which we invite you to pick to add to any fishes your are cooking.
LAUNDRY:
Quality linen and towels are supplied along with slippers. toiletries and a hair drier. The laundry has a washing machine with stain remover and soap powder supplied, a dryer, ironing board, iron, clothing rack and washing basket.
BOOKING:
When booking the house we ask that you reflect the number of beds required by using the following formula.
When booking the main bedroom the cost is the same whether or not you are booking for one, or for two people who will share the bed - you book for two. If booking for 2 Adults that require separate beds then you book for 3 Guests and this will give you access to the second bedroom and the double bed also. (The main bedroom is always for two people)
When booking 3, 4 or 5 guests you will be asked which bed configuration you would prefer and only those beds will be made. For 6 guests all beds will be made. When booking for an infant you can request to hire our cot and linen as part of a package or on its own. The hire fee will be provided upon request depending on your needs
ENTERTAINMENT:
In the lounge room you will find kids toys and books, adult reading and family games. We have unlimited free wifi with the use of NETFLIX, STAN and DISNEY PLUS.

Take a short stroll to the Barwon river or a 25 minute stroll to the botanical gardens, play grounds or the salt water swimming pool.
Just around the corner is MoPA Museum of Play and Art which we have been told by guests is great for children.
