„The house was an ideal setting to see in the new year. The area has lots of interesting walks and cycling routes. The hosts provided plenty communication ahead of the booking and accomodated for our youngest guest (1 year old). The property could benefit from a few more kitchen essentials (bin bags, dish clothes etc), but this a wasn't major issue. All in all, a really nice stay.“

„The cottage was cosy and had everything we needed. A minor niggle, but it was a bit cluttered with cushions and throws in the sitting room - the throws just slid off the leather sofas and the cushions were too big and too many, so were surplus to requirements. The location suited us very well, with a host of lovely walks and places to visit nearby. We had a wonderful break and can recommend!“

„A perfect week in a peaceful location. The cottage is lovely. Well equipped, clean, good wifi, and lots of communal space for gathering, inside and out (and an amazing DVD collection according to our film buff family member!). Games room and table tennis were great fun in an evening and the large dining table perfect for board games as well as eating. The bedrooms were roomy, including a couch as well as beds. The only downside was the 3 bathrooms were some distance away. A toilet at either end would have been more practical. The kitchen was rather small but well equipped.“

„Lovely clean caravan on a quiet very well kept site. Lots to see and do around the area, we had a fantastic 3 night stay. Lounge area spacious and double bed very comfy. Only thing I would say is that the twin beds are small my teenagers were too big to get comfy, would be OK for younger children.“

„Cottage was clean cosy and comfortable. It is about 15 mins drive to castle douglas. Owners live next door so easy to contact with minor issues. We were familiar with local area as visited frequently before.“

With amenities just a few minutes drive away and local to wildlife viewing options this worked well for us. None of us were keen to leave.“
