This is your TX Crush on the Bay! This canal front home in Jamaica Beach checks all the boxes for a fun Island getaway - private pool, boat launch, tiki bar, quick bay access, and more. Make your dream vacation a reality with this fun rental.

Walk inside, and enter a tropical oasis with the coastal colors and decor. The living area has a plush leather sectional and armchairs - plenty of seating for your group. Sip your morning coffee at the breakfast bar or keep the family chef company while they whip up a meal in the fully-equipped kitchen, complete with stainless steel appliances and abundant counter space to cook with ease. Comfortably seat up to 8 at the large dining table.

You’ll love lazy vacation mornings in the comfortable bedrooms. The primary king suite boasts a TV, seating area, deck access, and private en suite bathroom with a walk-in shower and separate tub. The main level also has a twin room and a pyramid bunk room. More sleeping space is available up the spiral staircase, in the loft that overlooks the living area. It features a queen bed, and 2 double flip beds. The ground floor has one king size bedroom and full bath. Bathroom is accessible from the pool area too.

As comfortable as the interior of this island home is, it’s the exterior that’s sure to get everyone excited. The private pool is surrounded by lush tropical landscaping to create a personal paradise. Take a dip in the water, lounge on plentiful outdoor furniture, or shake up your favorite drinks at the tiki bar. All of our friends and family enjoyed this house so much. It was easy to cook in the kitchen and the house was open in the entertainment area and dining. The pool was great and clean. This property is really worth staying at.

Location is great, pool, deck on the canal and access to the canal leading to bay, makes it super! The owners made special effort to confirm everything was ok after a tropical storm had the road in to the place under water. They were very responsive to my questions. The short drive to the beach and easy drive on access was very nice. Two things I’d suggest- 1) a regular coffee maker for those like us that don’t come prepared with keurig pods- I actually didn’t even realize that was the only option for coffee. 2) in the bedroom on ground floor next to the pool, it looks like there is tv, but it is not connected, nor are there any plugs for the lights on the dresser. It is misleading. We weren’t terribly bothered, but some folks will be.overall, we had a super time together and enjoyed the home very much. Thank you.

I loved this property! It is decorated so cute! The main bedroom was very comfortable and had a great shower. The rest of the home was very nice, the kitchen had everything we needed and there are plenty of seating areas throughout the home. ( The couch sits a little too low for me, but I’m old so …🤣). The outdoor area is fabulous!! We absolutely loved the pool! Jean was quick to answer all of my questions and was very kind and helpful! We loved our stay! I hope to come back again someday!!❤️

This house fit our needs perfectly! We had our family of 4 and our kids' 2 friends, and it was nice having different sleeping options. The Master bedroom, bath, and office area were great. We also had many late nights in the pool and playing cards at the large dining table. We fished off the pier, and the house is near to a few small grocery stores. 10/10!!

This Galveston rental left a lot to be desired given its high rate of 850 per night. The property was poorly maintained with trash in the yard, broken pool equipment, algae in the pool, overgrown grass, dead roaches inside, and a strong mildew smell. The owner's response to these issues was lacking. Despite some positives like a well-working AC and a stocked kitchen, the property fell short. The photos were deceiving, access to the canal was limited, and the loft area was only suitable for individuals under 5 feet tall. While the weekend was enjoyable overall, the property did not meet expectations for the price. It has potential but requires significant improvements. This feedback comes from experienced travelers and renters hoping for better standards.

We come to Jamaica Beach every summer. Sand and Sea Rentals were easy to work with and very responsive. We had a slight hiccup with internet and cable but it was resolved. The kitchen was well stocked and there is tons of space for entertaining outdoors. The fenced and gated property was nice extra security.

We absolutely loved our time at Jamaica Beach. The house had plenty of space for 9 of us, the pool was big and wonderful and we had plenty of success fishing from the dock in the backyard. With the beach right down the road (and the ability to drive and park right on the beach), we never had a shortage of options while staying here.

Property was great overall, even better than the pictures! Plenty of space for everyone to hang out. Our only complaint was the pool was fairly dirty on checkin (stormed the day before) and property management said they couldn’t get anyone out to clean until Tuesday (the day we checked out). But after we spent some time ourselves cleaning it out, the pool was awesome!

Fun house with great downstairs shadey places to relax as well as the pool. We did have issues with cockroaches, and the back deck lights did not work. But we otherwise really enjoyed the house very much and would return. Just recommend more routine extermination.

Our big complaint, we did not have direct access to the water. The property dock did not have a ladder. We were able to use our Kayaks on the last day of our stay because we had to beg a neighbor to let allow us to use their ladder. The pool over-flowed and soaked the bottom deck. No big deal. The checkin text we received had typos in WiFi password.

Overall, we all loved Tortuga. The kids loved the loft and the novelty of the spiral staircase, and the variety of bed sizes on the main level worked perfectly for our group that included a mix of couples and adult siblings. We felt right at home, and the convenience of having a full kitchen and living area was perfect. Lots of space for family meals (our budgets thanked us) and catching up with the out-of-town family who met us for this trip. We spent a lot of time on the sunny deck, but the shaded patio looked well set up for warmer weather. Guess we'll have to come back again this summer! ;)
