Newly renovated canal front home just a five minute walk to the beach!

The Beach house is located in a quiet area of Sea Isle on Galveston Island. It features an upper deck for relaxing over the water with a cup of coffee watching a beautiful sunrise, and a lower deck with a bar and flat-screen TV, and a propane barbecue. Fish from both decks or the community fishing pier, paddle about in our kayaks, or ride the bikes provided. Rent or bring a boat and keep it in the on-site boat slip. Keys for the fishing pier and boat ramp are available. Life is Beautiful! Enjoy!

The home has a large parking area, free Wi-Fi, three bedrooms and two baths, living and dining rooms, and a kitchen stocked with coffee pot, toaster, refrigerator, stove, oven, dishwasher and all pots & pans you will need.

For those who brought a computer, there is high-speed internet, an office desk and chair, a surge strip, and also a printer.

A child gate is available for safety at the top of the stairs, and a highchair and porta-crib are available. There are security cameras located on both the upper and lower decks.

For the beach, we provide towels, chairs, an umbrella, and kiddie toys. Quiet hours are from 10 PM weeknights and 11 PM Friday and Saturday.

We enjoyed our stay. We loved the fact that the downstairs area by the canal/fishing pier had a gate so we could keep the little ones secure. Good location from beach and store. We would defintely rent again.

We stayed a month in Bob and Carmen’s home, and we had a very nice stay. The neighborhood was nice, it was safe and we made quite a few visits to the neighborhood Marina/bar/restaurant. We rented a golf cart so we could get to the beach a bit easier. The home was clean and the beds were comfortable. We really enjoyed the outdoor deck and we even caught a couple fish off it.

The stay started off badly when we entered the code and the door wouldn't open. The opener just told us the doorlock would not open because the deadlock was stuck. After multiple attempts, we called the owner. His response was to tell us WHY it didn't open. You may not be aware, but there is salt air in Galveston and it rusts things. Very educational, but completely unhelpful. Maybe if you know your deadbolt is rusted and doesn't work you should replace it. After innumerable attempts to get in (with no help from the owner) we broke it loose...I guess. It was 80 degrees when we arrived, so we adjusted the thermostat to 72. After about 4 hours it had cooled down to a sweaty 83. We left for several hours and turn off all the lights to cool it down. That brought it down to 81. AC is mostly a joke. Advertised a hot tub. It has one...with 2 ft of water in it and it doesn't work. This could be a great house. But, it needs some maintenance which the owner is obviously unwilling to provide. If it's going to be rented then fix what is broken and be receptive to the people who are renting it. Bring it up to livable standards. I would give this a hard pass.

This was a perfect house for us. It was well stocked with kitchen utensils, etc. The location on the canal was perfect for us to use our boat, fish, kayak and go to the beach.

Enjoyed our stay at your place, we had lots of room for our family and friends that stopped by to visit !! My only complaint is that the AC didn’t get in the bunk bedroom and fans had to be put in there to help keep them cool. Master bedroom the same ( but cooler than bunk ) the only place the AC worked great was in front BR and when door was closed at night we didn’t get air !! I would walk by their door and feel cold air under the door ! My son closed the windows that were open and closed hurricane vents, that helped a lot, but rooms still hot and the washer didn’t have cold water coming through … hot only !!! Other than that the rest of the place was great and loved staying there !! I hope our next trip there, we’ll stay with you again ! Didn’t know if you knew these problems if not here they are and maybe be fixed before next renters come ! We had fun and enjoyed your place a lot. You might consider letting AC run on 72 instead of 75 !! Thanks Again !! Hope to see you next year if we go ..

Enjoyed walking to the beach and getting to use the boat lift for our boat. Bob is nice, the house is ok but needs a few repairs- faucet in the bathtub was broken and leaking, and the key was difficult to open downstairs area. Overall a good time was had by all though.

We stayed here to celebrate my husbands 30th birthday with family and friends and had a great time. There was a situation with the ac going out but Robert was quick to answer my texts and calls and sent someone out asap to fix the issue for us. We had a lovely time otherwise.

We throughly enjoyed our stay here! It is a well stocked house with everything we needed. Bob was very responsive and accommodating, providing great information. Being able to bring our pup was awesome and he loved being down in Galveston! We appreciated the use of of the kayaks as being able to utilize the canal just adds another fun thing to do. Great beach vacation!

House was nice and well kept. Good spot on the canal and good hangout area downstairs. The listing should add the smile you are on camera disclaimer because you are being watched/recorded anytime you are downstairs or upstairs on the top deck, which was weird and had I known I would have chosen another property and also there is a very strict noise rule that they want the house quiet at 10pm. We weren’t being very loud and we were in bed at midnight and we still apparently disturbed the neighbor because I got a text from the owner telling us to be quiet. *** Just an FYI For anyone renting in sea isle if you want to use the pool it’s 100 dollars for a pool pass they have someone at the pool you can pay

Great property, fits a large family or a group of friends. The location has its positives and negatives; it's over 30 minutes from the main Galveston attractions/stores and has no cell phone service with att, but the public beaches are lonely and clean. The host was another story, super unprofessional, and the reason why I gave it a 1 star. Carmen began texting me at 11 pm that she was watching us through the cameras and claiming no noise after 10 pm, assume she had confused me with the renters of their next-door property as she called me Angel and kept using male terms, even though I am a female. She even threatened me to deal with the consequences, claiming no noise after 10 pm, but their house rules are to keep noise to a minimum during 10 pm - 8 am - "Guests may gather and spend time in the bar and decks, but noise must be kept to a minimum". I don't know if she understands the difference, but I have never met a host that spies into their paying guests or understands their own rules. I don't know how often she spies on her guests but its disgusting to think of, we had our children wash off on the outside shower and change in that patio. Grills don't work either.

The location of this property was exactly what we were looking for! Out of town and not in the middle of everything. The patio downstairs on the bay and the upper deck were very nice to hang out on. The neighborhood fishing pier is nice and well lit to fish at night. The kids definitely enjoyed the kayaks the owners have there. This neighborhood does have a pool and that is part of why we picked the house. There is a $100.00 fee to use the pool for your stay but that is not listed in the posting. That might have made a difference in booking here if I had known that. The Ring AC thermostat was pass-coded when we arrived and I was unable to adjust the AC below 75. I did contact the owners and they did remove the passcode. When I did put the AC on 72 and we would leave for a few hours we would come back and the AC would be off and it would be 80 in the house, even though it was set to 72. Not sure if this was a Ring setting or feature or not. All I had to do was touch the thermostat and it would click on though. Unfortunately, because of this the house never really got cool until after the sun went down. Overall, this was a nice place to stay.
