Blue Bird Bungalow - Family Friendly escape with Cowboy Pool

The Blue Bird Bungalow is a beautifully renovated Galveston home located in the historic Mid-Town neighborhood. The bungalow, originally built in 1895, is centrally located and approximately a 1/2 mile to the to the seawall/beach and restaurants. This bungalow sleeps up to 11 adults and is very family friendly with tons of amenities. This home is spectacular! Overall, the home is 1850 square feet with three bedrooms, a loft (with sitting area, kids play nook and 5 beds), 2 full bathrooms, 1 car garage, deck, outdoor shower and cowboy pool!

The space

Enter to a covered front porch where you can sit and relax on the inviting porch swing while drinking your morning coffee. An abundance of windows infuse the home with joyful sunshine yet, the windows have window coverings for a peaceful night sleep or siesta time. The house is equipped with all new modern amenities! All 3 main bedrooms have closets and luggage racks for your belongings so you feel at home. The home has two well-equipped bathrooms. The master on-suite bathroom is spacious with double sinks and a walk-in shower. The secondary bathroom has a tub/shower combo, perfect for baths. . The added loft space is a kid's dream! It is has a reading/play nook under the landing stairs that opens up to a very cozy sitting area with couch (folds to a double bed) TV, fridge and games! Continuing in the loft space will take you to a very large area with 4 twin beds and a desk for those that need to get a little work done while on vacation. Before heading outside, you will see a very well stocked laundry room with extra refrigerator, wine fridge and coffee bar. The bungalow has an oversized washer and dryer in case laundry is required. Lastly, head out back and sit on the large back deck with seating and enjoy the beautiful Galveston nights! In the yard, which is fully turfed or maintained with rock, there is a firepit with chairs, outdoor games and a propane grill. We offer beach stuff (beach chairs, beach towels, beach wagon, beach bikes) in the garage for your enjoyment. We have a cowboy pool in the back to cool off in on those hot summer days and an outdoor shower (with hot and cold water!) to rinse off in on your way back from the beach .

Guest access

You will have access to the entire home & yard. There is off street parking and a long driveway to park on which fits several vehicles. Please be aware that the driveway becomes narrow and to be careful when driving in and out.

Other things to note

- Please don't park over the sidewalk because Galveston PD will issue tickets.
- Please be careful on the stairs as they are a little narrow and steep. We have provided baby gates as well.
- For the cowboy pool, please swim at your own risk and no kids are allowed under the age of 15 without Adult Supervision.
- Please wash off any sand or dirt in the outdoor shower prior to entering the pool. If excessive sand is left in the pool and must be drained, a $100 fee will apply.
- 11 guest MAX! If you instant book and have more than 11 people or invite guest not on the reservation, you will be asked to leave and no refund provided.
-NO PETS allowed. Our 8 year old son has severe pet allergies and he visits the home frequently.
-No Smoking, No Vaping & No Marijuana allowed on the property.
-No third party bookings allowed.
-Must be 25 years old to book this home.
