  • Das Ho Hum East ist ein wunderschönes Haus am See mit eigenem Dock am unberührten Apple Canyon Lake! Das Haus ist zu Ehren meiner Großeltern benannt, die das Ho Hum Motel in Denison, Iowa, betrieben haben :)

    Dies ist ein Ort zum Entspannen, zum Stressabbau und zum Spaß für die Familie! Das Haus verfügt über alle neuen Matratzen und bietet Platz für bis zu 12 Personen. Großer offener Wohnraum, der sich hervorragend für Unterhaltung eignet, RIESIGE Wrap-around-Deck, auf der Sie einen atemberaubenden Blick auf den See genießen können, sowie einen großen Garten mit Gasgrill.

    Haus am See mit allen Annehmlichkeiten, die Sie für ein unvergessliches Wochenende benötigen. Ein privates Dock ist ideal zum Schwimmen oder Angeln. Das Haus verfügt auch über ein 4-Sitzer-Paddelboot und ein Stand-Up-Kajak, das verwendet werden kann. Ab dem 1. Mai wird es eine Feuerstelle geben. Dies ist ein privater See, so dass Sie kein eigenes Boot mitbringen können, aber es gibt einen Bootsverleih im Yachthafen oder Sie können eine 2-stündige Bootsfahrt durch mich buchen.

We had a fabulous few days in Apple Canyon Lake... wish we could have stayed longer. We stayed at this property years ago and it was great then but there have been many upgrades - esp to the outside - and it's even better. The lakefront area is huge and so convenient for everything - I love the steps into the water. Everything inside was comfortable and clean. Highly recommend.

Great Lake House

This is a great place to vacation with family and friends. The lakefront landing is gorgeous and had plenty of room for fishing, dining, bonfires, and a dock for all lake activities!

Perfect getaway

This place was perfect for our getaway! Property manager was amazing, explained everything, checked on how our stay was, the house was so clean, everything was very well stocked, and let’s not forget the amazing views of the lake and the amazing patio on the lake! Took my son and his friend for a quick fishing trip on the lake and we loved it. It was clean, roomy, they had beautiful access to the water and just overall a really good time. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

Excellent place to stay

We really enjoyed this very clean house. Kids and I loved playing in the water none stop. Went to the pool one day and all were happy with the diving board. Nice evening sitting by the water with a fire going. Thank you for a great time.

We truly enjoyed spending Father's Day weekend at this lake house on Apple Canyon Lake. The property is tucked away and private with an expansive waterfront. The home is nicely updated while keeping a cozy lake house feel. The kitchen has a fun vintage style and is fully functional. The wood burning fireplace is beautiful and worked perfectly. The additional amenities of fishing poles and water toys were certainly appreciated. There is also a marina store within a 10-minute drive that has essentials you might need (food, bait, sweatshirts, etc.). Just a note, if there is something within the listing that is important to you, we'd suggest reaching out to make sure it is available. For example, the garage was unavailable when we arrived and the paddle boat was not in the water whereas those were mentioned in the listing or shown in the photos. These were not major issues for us but we'd suggest confirming all of your needs beforehand to make sure expectations are met. Overall, we would highly recommend staying at this home if you're looking for a peaceful getaway with multiple gathering areas to enjoy.

We liked that the property was on the lake. We would love to explore in the summer. Cozy loft area for the kids. Netflix availability was great as well. We did not like that we were responsible for taking the garbage to a community trash area. We could not find it and there were no directions. We planned to throw out the garbage Sunday at check-out, however, the area did not open until after 2 on Sunday which is after check-out hours. Thankfully, the owner was kind enough to allow us leave the garbage at the home.

Beautiful home on Apple Canyon Lake

The house was in a great spot for us as we have family with a home at Apple Canyon but they couldn’t accommodate all the relatives , we were only 6 minutes away from them so easy to go back and forth. Nice quite part of the lake. The house was well equipped and they had many water toys to use. The girls enjoyed the paddle board . It was nice swimming off the pier . When we were there it was extremely hot and humid and the only complaint would be the bedroom in the loft gets really hot . They did provide fans which helped. They were having landscaping done but it didn’t affect our stay. We enjoyed the beautiful view from the deck. They had a nice information board in the house with everything we needed to know .
