The garden is huge and has the most spectacular view over Funchal facing the sea. Filomena is a wonderful host and was always available when we had a question. „Sehr geräumig an einer sehr steilen Straße. Fußläufig ist Funchal erreichbar aber durch die hohe Lage anstrengend. Bäcker und kleiner Supermarkt ca. 800 m entfernt. Parken an der Straße schwierig, aber möglich. Haus liegt an einer engen, steilen Straße mit regem Verkehr incl. Linienbus. Die Terrasse war, schon längere Zeit nicht mehr gereinigt worden. Zwei Liegestühle, davon einer defekt. Unbequeme Esstischstühle. TV nur pay TV und alles für britische Gäste. Besen und Kehrblech wäre schön. “

„Wir haben als Familie 14 Tage in einer sehr schönen Umgebung, bei bestem Wetter , verbracht. Antonio ist ein perfekter Vermieter, sehr aufmerksam, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Haus ist sehr persönlich gestaltet und vermittelt nicht das Gefühl sich in einer Ferienunterkunft aufzuhalten. „The home is high on a hill, modern and very clean. The pool is wonderful and a perfect temperature. We stayed for 1 month. Beatrice met us at the house and responded to our questions quickly. The cleaning crew came in once a week which was fantastic We were not prepared for how steep and narrow the roads were in our area, but it appears to be the norm. My husband eventually became an expert driver. Madeira is a wonderful place to visit. We are happy we chose An Island Apart. “

It was clear that although they were telling us they were going to fix it that it’s been broken for a while and it’s not going to be fixed. „The location is great, on walking distance from the harbour and main restaurant/shopping streets in Funchal. The house and its garden are absolutely wonderful, very calm, providing both sun and shade. The garden is very well-kept and we all enjoyed the terrace and pool area. „We celebrated my moms 75th birthday. Her bucket list consisted of seeing Portugal where her family was from. We started our vaca in Madeira at this beautiful home. It was spacious, clean and a perfect place for family to gather. We felt safe and truly enjoyed all the amenities... the work out room, pool table and pool. The host was easy to talk to and very accommodating. Truly appreciate the opportunity to rent your space. I would recommend for sure!“

„Die Zimmer sind geräumig, gut gepflegt und sehr sauber. Die Aussicht über Funchal ist noch spektakulärer als auf den Bildern, und der Zapfhahn wurde ausgiebig genutzt. Übergabe der Wohnung war ebenfalls sehr gut, wir haben viele spannende Tips bekommen was wir alles in der Umgebung anschauen sollten. Vom Inhaber selbst gab es ebenfalls viele wertvolle Tips. Ein weiteres Fass Bier wurde schnellstmöglich organisiert. Als wir ein Problem mit dem Pool hatten, wurde dieses von ihm aus seinem Urlaub ...

„Would definitely recommend staying in this property! Done to a very high standard and very clean. Easily walkable to the centre of Funchal, approx 10 mins downhill. Host communicated well and parking on site within our own garage. Nice area around the pool. And provided with a small package of essential foods on arrival. Brilliant stay! “
