• Check-out is prior to 10:00 AM on the day of departure
PLEASE NOTE: Fripp Island is a natural barrier island surrounded by water. We highly recommend supervising children closely at all times, especially when outdoors or near marshes, lagoons, or the beach.
GOLF CART — RULES, RESTRICTIONS & ASSUMPTION OF RISK
A golf cart is provided as a courtesy amenity for guests' use during the rental period. Use of the golf cart constitutes acceptance of all terms below. Guests who do not agree to these terms may not use the golf cart.
Licensed Drivers Only. Per South Carolina law, only guests age 16 or older with a valid, government-issued driver's license may operate the golf cart. A copy of the driver's license may be required upon request.
Minimum Age for Night Operation. Per Fripp Island POA rules, no person under the age of 21 may operate the golf cart between 12:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m.
Restricted Areas. The golf cart may not be operated on golf courses, beaches, or bike paths per Fripp Island POA rules. Guests are solely responsible for any fines, citations, or damages resulting from violations of this rule.
No Intoxicated Operation. Operating the golf cart under the influence of alcohol or any controlled substance is strictly prohibited and is a violation of South Carolina law.
Assumption of Risk & Indemnification. The primary guest, on behalf of all members of their party, acknowledges that the use of a golf cart involves inherent risks of physical injury and property damage. Guests expressly assume all risk associated with the use of the golf cart and agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the property owner and Stinger Home Management from any claims, damages, losses, or liability — including legal fees — arising from their use or misuse of the golf cart.
Damage Responsibility. Any damage to the golf cart during the rental period, beyond normal wear and tear, will be charged to the guest and deducted from the security deposit or billed to the card on file.
No Unauthorized Modifications. Guests may not modify, alter, or tow the golf cart. Improper towing without engaging the TOW switch on electric carts may result in permanent controller damage, and the guest will be billed for repair or replacement.
Compliance with Fripp Island POA Rules. Guests are responsible for reading and complying with all Fripp Island POA golf cart rules and regulations. Violations resulting in fines or citations are the sole financial responsibility of the guest.
Golf Cart Provided "As-Is." The golf cart is provided in good working condition. Guests should inspect the cart upon arrival and report any pre-existing damage or mechanical issues immediately. Stinger Home Management and the owner make no warranty, express or implied, regarding fitness for any particular purpose.
