Having everything on one floor was beyond helpful for our oldest family member, but having a bed (and room) where almost everyone got their own bed was an additional bonus. The additional amenities -- from bathroom, to kitchen, to living room -- were icing on the cake, and the lack of tech gave us a wonderful reason to spend time with each other or just bask in the tranquility of the countryside.
