Beach House on Crystal Lake - Private Beach, Appointed by West Elm

The owners of this Crystal Lake gem dreamt of its existence decades before bringing it to fruition in 2022. If you're looking for your own private beach house on a stunning, QUIET, Michigan lake, look no further. This newly built property is designed to accommodate up to six guests very comfortably, with plenty of room to spread out, socialize and enjoy all Crystal Lake has to offer on 50’ of private beach.

West Elm styled each room of the home, creating spaces that help guests feel comfortable and relaxed while being away from home. A Great Room greets you as you enter the home, offering a large, well-appointed, kitchen, dining and gathering space with panoramic views of the lake. A main level master bedroom offers a king bed, plush bedding, sitting area and LG 65-Inch OLED evo Smart TV. An ensuite bath offers double vanities, toilet room and large shower with two rain showerheads. Rounding out the main level is a powder room, pantry and laundry area with Electrolux washer and dryer.

On the second level, guests enjoy two large suites each with a king bed, a sitting area and LG OLED evo Smart TV. Guest rooms have accompanying bathrooms with double vanities and toilet, joined by a large shower room with two rain showerheads. In addition, a second level family room provides plenty of wonderful spaces to enjoy any time you must be inside. With more panoramic windows, this large room is a great place to relax, socialize or work remotely (if you must). It’s here we’ll mention the WIFI internet is speedy in order to accommodate all guests’ streaming and surfing needs.

Linens, towels and some paper products are available to guests. Bedrooms are appointed with nightstand lamps equipped USB charging ports. Bose Bluetooth speakers allow guests to pipe in their favorite lake tunes. Swivel chairs in all main rooms allow guests the freedom to turn their seat to maintain the perfect view of other guests or the beautiful, aquamarine water. Seriously, we can’t overstate the beauty of Crystal Lake, you really must see it to believe it.

Speaking of the water and beach, that’s what we assume you’re coming for. Even in the winter, this is our favorite part of the space. This property includes a 50’X50’ private beach offering four Loll Designs loungers and a large round picnic table. The lake entry is shallow (under 5’) for nearly 200 yards from shore and as clear as it gets.

The area offers more than you can do in a whole summer. Frankfort, Beulah, Honor and Benzonia are all within 15 minutes. This is where you’ll find local dining options and plenty of shopping to scratch THAT itch. Several Sleeping Bear National Park locations are within a few miles of this property. River rafting, sand dunes, ice cream shops, more shopping, dining and beer/wine tasting can be found along M-22, which is less than a mile from the house. Traverse City, the largest metro in the area, is a fun day trip in less than a 45-minute drive.
