„I enjoyed a very pleasant two night stay here. My self-contained bedroom and ensuite was spacious, clean and well appointed. Being able to park right outside the room turned out to be a welcome convenience since the weather was, um, less than kind! All the staff were helpful and courteous. The excellent breakfast was varied and plentiful, ensuring a good start to the day. I chose to eat in the bar, rather than the restaurant. The menu featured the familiar pub 'classics' but they hit the spot ...

„Stayed at the Chimes for 3 nights at a single room. Shower room was separate and just next to the room, for private use. The owner was very friendly and served a great breakfast. Fast check-in/check-out.“

„The sunflower owners and are extremely helpful and friendly nothing was to much trouble“

„Lovely hotel! Beautiful interior and comfy beds. Unfortunately the bar and restaurant were shut so that was only disappointing part. Other then that was lovely“

„Nice pleasant clean room & friendly staff . Close to the town centre.“

„Lovely place great location. We had a great time “

„Lovely setting with some great architecture. Friendly family run hotel but somewhat tired in places. Disappointed by the most bizarre room which had a full size stainless steel kitchen segregating a reasonably nice bedroom from the large but rather odd bathroom (which also housed the wardrobe). Had its own ‘orangery’ and small garden. Loads of blinds to close, some of which were broken and the orangery outer doors had no blinds. Open plan so couldn’t make it completely dark… luckily had my eye ...

„schönes, modernes Boutiquehotel mit Pub“

„Room was lovely and clean and plenty or space. Staff on reception very helpful and nice. Only small downside was it would be good to put in the description that the parking area is tight and it was a bit of a struggle parking a larger car“

„The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The thing that let it down was the food. A lot of the courses were tasteless including the main breakfast. The only other thing we did not like was the shower, climbing in and out a bath. Also could not open the windows in.the room when it got warm“

„Compared to other hotels in Scarborough this one is a good choice. A friendly and professional welcome, a nice view, a large room. The downsides are the room is directly situated above the bar & garden which has customers drinking, laughing and yelling till midnight. Food is ok, but not great. The friendly receptionist is also a very good escalation manager and took the parking fee off the bill to make up for the noise.“

„It was a great stay“

„The flat was better than we expected! Smart and well furniszhed. A dedicated off road parking place, good facilities and a great sea view. A heated floor in the bathroom. Nice kitchen area and plenty of utensils. The owner was very helpful prior to our arrival so all went smoothly. “

„has everything you need for a short stay. Bedrooms and bathrooms are quite tiny and wardrobe space is limited. No problem if you are out and about most of the time but staying in might be a bit crammed. There is a small outdoor area to sit in - if you like talking to the neighbours as all chalets are close together.“

„We enjoyed a good overnight stay at East Ayton Lodge Hotel, which was comfortable and well-situated. We were happy with our room and with dinner and breakfast. The room was fine for our dog and the garden provided an opportunity for a short walk ...“

„Just came back after a 2-night stay. The place was easy enough to find and we didn’t struggle for parking either, location is great. However, as it is self check-in there isn’t anyone around. Everything is done via text messages and code locks. The first room we were given hadn’t been cleaned at all after the previous guests had left. I let the person at the other end of the text messages know, and we were “upgraded” to another room (slightly larger and had a bathtub instead of a shower). This  ...
