This small house is located on Pistakee Lake, on the Chain O'Lakes. We are centrally located in Fox Lake, IL and everything is nearby, making it easy to plan your visit. The lakefront is steps from the front patio; offering a perfect stop on your boating and fishing trip. Restaurants, nightlife, state parks and retail essentials are all located within a close distance. Enjoy a cozy get-away anytime of the year with central heating and cooling and comfortable sleeping accommodations.

Cutest Little Cottage
This cottage is small but served our needs quite well. We were in the area mainly for business but did have a relaxing time while at the property. The communications with Jessica were excellent. Only one downside for us, there wasn't a toaster available. Breakfast was about the only meal we planned to prepare during our stay so we had to go to Menards and purchased one for $9. We thought that Freddy's Roadhouse, next door, was a great place. We met some nice people there and had a good time. There were no issues with noise or disturbances from them. All in all we had a wonderful time at this property and will return again anytime we need to stay while in the area.

Cozy Cottage perfect for 4th of July long weekend
My husband and I and our 17 yr old son stayed for the long 4th of July weekend. This cozy cottage was perfect for our needs, comfortable, clean, and quiet. From the edge of the small deck you have a bit of a lakeview, and just a short walk down the hill to the shared yard area provides a full view and nice place to sit and relax in our folding camp chairs. We took our boat, pre-arranged to launch from Ben Watt's marina right around the corner and store our boat trailer there-- also highly recommend, everyone there was so friendly and helpful. We kept the boat in one of the many slips at Freddie's, right next door to this property, making it easy to head out each day. We had a fabulous time exploring the Chain O Lakes by boat, cruising, anchoring, swimming, and trying different restaurants. This property was the perfect home base for our getaway. The property manager, Jessica, was quick to respond and very helpful with questions leading up to our trip, and during our stay. We would absolutely stay here again, and highly recommend this property for a small group/family.

This is a beautiful place to stay while visiting Illinois. It is a small cabin with a gorgeous view of the water. Convenient location. Would definitely recommend.

Good for a short stay
The cottage is small, as listed. Beds are comfortable enough, but small. Lots of windows makes for a bright interior but most of the windows did not have screens so flies were an issue. Plenty of TVs and good WiFi. The property is a cottage with a low ish ceiling so not a lot of space indoors. The bar next door was an issue with verbal altercations, drunken shouting, car engines revving followed by 2:00 am clean up of bottles and then wait staff leaving loudly. The lake is lovely and this was close to our destination so it worked well enough for a short stay. Didn’t need to contact property management, but they sent information in a timely and thorough manner.

Nice for a weekend "getaway"
The location of this home is 5 stars, being close to the lake is great. The bar/restaurant next door was also great re: food & the band we saw. Did not have any problems with noise from the bar at night. This seems more of a short stay option vs. a longer home away from home (staying a week or 2.) The furniture seemed a bit old, well used, & not the most comfortable. And being as small as the cottage is, it was hard to have friends & family over to enjoy it with us.
