This is a great place

Nice updated suite. Master shower was scalding hot, could not regulate it. The last day, we figured out to run the shower on mostly cold and not turned on all the way, and it worked better. It could use new shower knob. Also, other bath sink hot handle would not shut off correctly, until you swing it back a bit. We did not contact manager until we were gone. It was very enjoyable and would stay there again!

Annual Family Vacay

Totally enjoyed our stay. Enough room for everyone to have their own space. Surfside staff was very helpful. The beach view was amazing from every room. We will definitely book again on our next visit.

Great Location, poor maintenance

I’ve stayed at Surfside for the majority of my life, so the property never disappoints. This condo was nice, however the cleanliness of the condo was not up to par. There was a large stain on the couch cushion, a grease spot on the bedroom wall, and the bottoms of our feet turn black from the dirt we picked up while walking barefoot throughout the condo. The ottoman has seen better days and the soap holder in the shower was being held on by duct tape. Just some minor maintenance issues.

Great location — however the property overall needs to be renovated.

The condo is in need to a full overhaul — the tile is cracked throughout and presents grimy. The kitchen was ill equipped—no cutting board, frying pans in poor condition making any meal prep on condo cumbersome. The upholstered furnishings were heavily stained and had a fowl odor. The master shower faucet needs to be replaced and the hot cold were reversed which could scold someone if they adjusted the temperature quickly. The toilets required the handle to be held down to flush. Overall I would not recommend this unit.

Beautiful condo. Would love to stay here again!

This condo was a fantastic place for our family summer vacation. It is right across the street from a private beach area. We didn’t have a chance to eat at the restaurant or swim at the pool, but we were able to walk through and it was very nice. The rooms were clean and the view from the balcony was wonderful. My favorite part of the condo was the glass window that takes up the entire wall facing the ocean. I looked more at that beautiful view than I did at the tv. It’s in a great location near several souvenir shops, fast food and sit down restaurants, and fun things for the family to do. I’m already excited to return whenever we will have a chance to and this is where I would want to stay.

Vomit, Floods, Poor Maintenance, Bad Management

This is our second stop while in the Destin area. Our first was great experience provided by another provider, this stay however, left us, literally with a bad taste in our mouth. When we opened the door a sour smell reminiscent of dried vomit 🤮 engulfed us. A quick inspection revealed that it originated from the couches and the rugs. We contacted the management firm and they said they would send house cleaning to take care of it. House cleaning did not show up, so to manage the smell we had to put the couch cushions and slips on the deck as it would not be possible to stay in here with that odor. If your curious, the unit appears to have been remodeled over a decade ago but only minimal maintenance has been done since then. Though it is clear the room was lightly cleaned prior to our visit I doubt it’s had a real deep cleaning in a long time as there was splattered food on the wall and the drinking glasses were sticky so we washed them all on arrival. To top off the above we tried to do a load of laundry and the washer flooded the apartment bathroom, hallway, master bedroom and the hallway leading to the unit. We called the management firm and they said they could not get a hold of maintenance and asked us to spend our evening to clean up the water as best we can, which we did. Since they couldn’t reach maintenance we also could get no replacement towels (since all were used cleaning up water) so no showers in the morning. I should note that it’s clear this flooding has happened before because the trim in the hallway of the unit shows clear signs of past water damage. We asked the management firm to move us to a different unit, after all, if vomit stench and a flood were not enough to justify that what would be? Unfortunately the best they could offer was one day returning the next at a unit 30 minutes away from where we are and it’s midnight, that’s not happening. If you recall they said someone would come in the morning to take care of the flooding isue and you guessed it — they never showed up. We called again in the evening and spoke to the manager for the site and he apologized for the lack of response on prior calls and promised someone would be here to clean up and provide us towels tonight since we have six people and no towels, again a no show. Today we also tried to warm milk in the microwave today but it too doesn’t work, another work order had to be filed. Be warned

The condo was very nice and we had plenty of room for our entire family. It’s in a great location. The beach was awesome and the staff was amazing. We loved being able to sit on the balcony and watch the waves. We would definitely book again!

Beautiful View.

Gorgeous view.... I overlooked condo needing a painting in living area & entrance area. Walls all scuffed and dirty. Also lack of variety of pots to cook a family dinner. The Location was the best and view spectacular. Great balcony ..... Just needs a little TLC. Comfortable beds, A LOT of towels. When we left I cleaned, put trash in chute, did dishes etc like most condos expect.... cleaning crew was outside and I explained how dishes were in dishwasher washing didn’t have time to put them up (10 AM checkout) and was told you don’t have to do a thing when you leave only enjoy yourself! While here!!! I loved that response. 😁
