Easy communication & check in. Dirty pool area. apartment too hot

Apartment decorated nicely. Definitely could be cleaner inside and pool area. Apartment walls so thin we could hear everything from the other two apartments. Only one thermostat in a different apartment so I had to call to have temp turned down. Still uncomfortably hot.

My daughter and I didn’t even make it twenty four hours before finding another place to stay in Fort Lauderdale. When we arrived the other guest apparently decided it was only their property and proceeded to have the tv on for the next eight hours at a level that can only make one assume they were born deaf and couldn’t afford hearing aides. They also had a dog that barked at 3:30am. Being up until 5 am with them was not my plan. The pool was kind of dirty also. And when we arrived there was a truck blocking the driveway also. And the air for the unit was controlled by the other guests. Which made it a stifling box of hot air with no air movement whatsoever. I emailed the property and asked for a refund as we weren’t returning and never got one.

No heated pool/Shared house

Arrived to our rental around 2am to be surprised by there being a car parked out front and another in the driveway. We then we’re woken up early in the morning to voices sounding like they were in our kitchen just to find out there’s other people staying in the house, just separated by a vented door next to our bedroom/kitchen so we can hear every single thing strangers are doing/saying next to us. We then go to try out the “heated pool” just to find out it’s freezing and not heated. Later that night were bothered by knocking on our door by strangers looking for their rental unit that’s part of the same house as they were confused by the situation as well. We felt let down being on our honeymoon for being tricked by a misleading rental that was way too much $$ for what was received.

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE

Don't rent this apartment for it will be a Very Bad Experience for you and your guest. The listing only states that is a shared pool but you literally share the house with 2 other apartments from which you are separated by a locked doors The bad 1. You can hear EVERYTHING in the other adjacent apartaments (people snoring, farting,cooking, taking showers , etc) 2. Tandem parking. First morning there I was awaken super early with hard knocks on the door by one of the people living in the other unit to move the car for he thought I blocked him. It was not even my car blocking but the third apartament people . 3. You can't control the AC or Heat for the thermostat not is in your living compound 4. No drapes on windows in interior and mental windows covers in exterior so you feel like in a jail. You can't open the exterior metal shades because you have no interior drapes. 5. No closet at ALL to put the clothes while there for 11 days. We have to keep everything in our suitcases . They only have a bar were you can hang some clothes. (You feel like in college again) 6. Pool is dirty and cold and there is a $40 fee per day to warm it. We received this news only the day we arrived. They advertised as a heated pool to bring people over. I think this house was approved as a rental for VRBO as a whole house but they are renting 3 apartaments in this house even they post on the walls a fire evacuation plan for the whole house not for 3 different apartaments. And many others small things. If you are a backpacker with a small budget and this place will be super cheap it will be worth it but otherwise is a Rippoff!! Shame on the owners of this property!!

The only complaint that I would have is that this is a 2 unit house and the back unit controls the air. Overall it was great.
