El Rancho, a large and elegant yet comfortable home with uninterrupted views of the Snowbowl Mountain peaks. This home is set on an expansive 5-acre lot offering heavenly seclusion and privacy. Conveniently located at the base of the Snowbowl ski resort, this home is the perfect base camp for all your winter and summer adventures, whether it’s: skiing/snowboarding Snowbowl (5-minute drive to the ski shuttle); touring the Grand Canyon (90-mile drive); exploring Sedona (37-mile drive); hiking the beautiful Flagstaff trails; visiting NAU (9-mile drive); savoring a meal in downtown Flagstaff (8-mile drive); or just enjoying the peaceful Flagstaff countryside. With its brand new air conditioning, innumerable amenities, games galore to keep the kids happy, and many cozy places to hang out, this wonderful home is the perfect setting for your large family get-together. This home is available for whole-season rentals, please enquire for discounted rates.



IMPORTANT RULES: Due to local laws or HOA requirements:

· Rentals are subject to a 7-day minimum: while rentals of fewer than 7 days are available, we will block off the 7-day period surrounding your rental to minimize the impact of guest turnover on our wonderful neighbors. Please enquire for details.

· Rentals are limited to “Single Families” – this means a group of people related by blood, marriage, or legal adoption, or up to 3 unrelated people maintaining a common household, together with their domestic servants. Please enquire for details.

· NO EVENTS such as weddings, parties, etc.

· Smoking and fire restrictions: NO smoking or vaping is allowed inside or outside the home. Flagstaff is an area prone to wildfires and as such, ashes from cigarettes and cigars can ignite dry brush in the area. Any signs of smoking will be subject to a $500 fine. Use of the outdoor fire pit is only permitted in accordance with City of Flagstaff fire restrictions.

· Firearms restrictions: Discharging firearms is not permitted within ¼ mile of any home or road in the Snowbowl Ranch Road subdivision.

· Nuisance restrictions: no loud music or other loud noises which may disturb neighbors; no activities on the street such as games or racing cars; no speeding through the neighborhood. Please be respectful of our neighbors quiet enjoyment of their homes!

· Lead renter must be at least 35 years old.

· HOA will require names and contact details of all adult renters – you will be redirected to a separate form when confirming rental.

· Please car pool if possible. No RVs allowed, and we ask that our guests limit the number of cars on the property to 4.



We will take action as needed if any member of your group has not complied with these rules.



· The bunk beds shown in Bedroom 3 are best suited for children as there is a maximum weight restriction for the top bunks. Please enquire for details.

· This house has several sets of internal stairs which may make this house unsuitable for those with walking impairments.

· Our property runs on a septic tank – please do not flush ANY products except for toilet paper.

· Please limit laundry to 2 loads per day to avoid problems with the septic tank.

· Our kitchen garbage disposal cannot handle: coffee grounds, grease or oil, egg shells, or citrus peels. Please put these items in the trash.

· Trash containers at the street are restricted to 24-hour period beginning sundown the night before until sundown the day of collection.

· 3 security cameras oversee the following areas: entrance, garage/driveway, backyard

· Pet Policy: No pets allowed unless specifically agreed ahead of time. Please enquire. Any evidence of unauthorized pets will be subject to a $500 fine. If you request to stay with a service dog, please answer the following questions legally allowed by the ADA regarding your service dog: (1) Is the dog required because of a disability? (2) What work or task has the dog been trained to perform? We do not charge extra for a service dog, nor do we increase the security deposit. Guest remains liable for any and all damage caused by people or dog. Under the ADA, service animals must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered, unless these devices interfere with the service animal’s work or the individual’s disability prevents using these devices. In that case, the individual must maintain control of the animal through voice, signal, or other effective controls. The animal must be under control of the handler at all times and never left alone at any time. If we discover a guest has misrepresented a pet as a service animal, we reserve the right to seek financial restitution, report fraudulent claims to government authorities and to evict the guest(s) without further notice. In the latter case, there will be no right to a refund for unused rent. As of 2022, VRBO no longer treats Emotional Support Animals as Service Animals. If you have an ESA, please filter your search for pet friendly-properties only. reach our gaming room. This is one of the highlights for our younger guests, as there is a big variety of games and fun activities in here. Feel free to enjoy our billiard table which can also conveniently be converted into a table tennis table. Our big screen smart TV can be used to catch up on your favorite series or to stream music. There is lots of seating options for spectators on our comfortable couches or around our bar table with a couple of bar stools. A sink and small bar area can be used to mix drinks without having to leave the room. The back porch and backyard can be accessed through a sliding door as well.
Attached to the gaming room we have the first full bathroom, which comes with sink, toilet and walk-in shower. This bathroom is handicap friendly, since there are not steps leading into the bathroom or shower.
Tucked away behind the dining area in the living room we have a half bathroom and our laundry room, which comes with washer and dryer, ready for your use, as well as access to our two-car garage. Our garage is full of outdoor equipment like basket balls, mountain bikes, footballs and similar, which are free to use during your stay with us! However, please NOTE: We do not assume any responsibility for injuries during your stay with us, so please handle with care. We even have a basketball hoop in front of the garage.
Following the stairs to the left of the entrance you will access the upper floor and the rest of the bedrooms.
The first bedroom comes with 3 bunkbeds. Each bed has single sized mattresses, accommodating a total of 6 guests. This is the perfect room for the younger members of your group, who will be able to enjoy the ultimate sleep over experience!
Next, we have two identical master bedrooms, which come with a comfortable queen mattress, walk-in closet and private attached bathroom with sink, toilet and walk-in shower. One of them even has a small desk with laptop friendly workspace.
The last bedroom is located toward the back and comes with two extra-large, single sized mattresses, a walk-in closet and attached bathroom. This bathroom comes with two sinks and a separate toilet and bathtub.
Stepping onto our back porch, you get to experience one of the highlights of our property… Stunning views all around, in a uniquely private setting. Our backyard is very big, making it ideal for outdoor activities like bean bag toss, frisbee and similar, without having to worry that any of your equipment might land in our neighbors backyard, because our neighbors are so far away, that you can barely see their house. Our charcoal BBQ grill with smoke function as available for you to use as well! Simply bring your charcoal and the food of your choice and enjoy! We offer easy to set-up outdoor furniture, located in a small storage area to the side, which will make the experience complete! Done with grilling? Feel free to use our outdoor firepit for some late-night star gazing and storytelling!

Mas El Rancho Por Favor

Perfect location for our Sedona/Flagstaff/Grand Canyon vacation. The open main room allowed for great family time with a stunning view of the mountains. The play room was well equipped and offered table tennis and pool options in addition to the many board games and puzzles. Between the view and the activities we never turned on the Tv!

Terrible Beds

I would love to give our stay a perfect review however, the beds were awful. I assumed it was just the primary, but soon found out everybody else's beds were broke down and terrible. I saw a review about how awful the beds were, and assumed they had been switched out... I was wrong. We had six nights of awful sleep, and people waking up with neck/back pain daily. Otherwise, the house was incredible and met all of our needs! New mattresses would have made this home 5 stars. Would rent again only if this problem was rectified. Good sleep is too important. Such an easy fix. Great views, games to play, and perfect location.

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property! Check in and check out was a breeze and the host was very responsive. Answered my questions within an hour. The house has everything you could possibly need! Plenty of things to do if you’re just hanging out at the house with so many different places to be together without being on top of one another. Loved the views of the snow capped mountains out of the massive windows in the family room! A huge plus to be able to use the 2 car garage given how cold it was outside in the overnight.

“El Ranch” review and suggestions

Overall an amazing property with spectacular views of snowbowl. The description of the house is spot on. As a frequent VRBO renter, I always want to provide positive criticism to help out the owner. The master bedroom windows have absolutely NO coverings so if your planning on sleeping in on your vacation, your dead wrong. The only space provided for your pantry items is 2 small cupboards, we had to use the nook table and countertops for chips, snacks, etc. The kitchen pantry door is locked!!! DO NOT ATTEMPT to grill anything unless they clean the bbq, flare up after flare up due to past grease. Lastly, we had to buy our own bath towels as only one per room was provided. Overall could easily be a 5 star plus rental if the owner made some minor adjustments to the house which I hope they do. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to be close to the ski resort but just outside of town.

Could’ve been better

The location of the property is great, close snowbowl so if you’re skiing or snowboarding it’s great but the property itself could use a lot of upgrading especially when you’re paying roughly $1300 a night after fees. To start, the beds are probably the worst beds i’ve ever slept on, no one in our group got a good night sleep, we found sleeping on the floor was actually more comfortable, secondly the fire pit outside was completely filled with snow, all the chairs were left outside and covered with snow and ice, the host knew we arriving weeks in advance, chairs could’ve been put inside and pit could’ve been cleaned out or covered. Also the fire pit itself is pretty much falling apart, we didn’t feel safe having the kids around it from how damaged it is, and lastly the place can use deep cleaning, dishes were still dirty and had food stains, no tv’s in the living room to watch the super bowl, we just didn’t find a single room that was comfortable from the game room to the living rooms to even the bedrooms. the grill outside is completely filthy and covered in grease, it’s impossible to grill without having all the grease on the bottom ignite into flames and when you ignite the grill with the push button it actually shocks you, i would probably change that asap. Overall for the price it’s definitely not worth it not even close.

Good experience, not excellent

Overall a good experience and we will try other properties next time were in flagstaff. This property did not have AC and in the summer the house was warmer than we'd like. For the location, size, daily cost, and overall quality a property like this should have AC in Arizona and the fact the investors have not contributed to that yet is very much a loss - win situation. They need to spend the 15 - 20K investment and the property would be significantly better. The bedrooms upstairs (which is all of them besides the master downstairs) did not cool off enough at night. Many of the children had a hard time sleeping during our 3-night visit. Also, they provide very few towels and toilet paper. What a funny thing to skimp on... and there are some minor maintenance things needed but not worth listing out. All things together make it seem the owners/investors are most interested on profits and not sustainable long-term practices. After fees we paid over $1,000 per night. I will absolutely pay that again but at a different location and I'll make sure to ask questions to have these concerns addressed ahead of time next time. As for renting this home again, it is unlikely they'll have a returning customer here due to the issue listed. It might seem minor but for this type of money these minor comforts should not become an issue.

Great Stay at El Rancho

Original property we booked encountered some flooding the day we left for our trip. Mass the property manager was great in notifying me and getting an alternate property set up as we were en route. Even though the replacement property was more per night than the original property, Mass honored the original price and made sure we got an early check in. Overall great experience that could’ve been much worse.

Great Family Getaway

We had a great stay at El Rancho. The property is fantastic and had everything we needed. Tons of games to keep the kids (and adults) entertained. Great location near the Snow Bowl and easy drive into Flagstaff. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to families looking for a northern AZ vacation.

Wonderful views and layout

Pros- We had a great stay at this home. The views and property are amazing. Wonderful setting and close to outdoor activities. Basketball, and plenty of games for the kids to do. Cons- We had 14 people staying at this home and there were not enough towels to use. The ones that were provided were not comfortable or a good size for adults.

We have done many vrbo homes in many cities since retiring. This house was as good as it gets. Fantastic location with great mountain views. The house was very well built, designed, and decorated. Had everything we needed, no complaints and we will be back.

Great House with all the Amenities

This property is so nice. It has everything you need for a great weekend retreat especially for a bigger group or family. I will say you need to know that only 4 cars can be visible in the driveway at any given time or the neighbors complain. We were able to put two in the garage and leave 4 out front. Cell service is really bad as well because you are basically at the bottom of Snow Bowl. Two minor details to what otherwise was a great stay. Thanks for having us.

Wonderful Family Mountain Retreat

I planned a whole family getaway for my father who is battling stage four lung cancer. I wanted a place that was suitable for the grandchildren and my father. Place was perfect! We had a wonderful time in this gorgeous home. Plenty of house and yard space against the woods. Went up to Snow Bowl and took the gondola ride to the top to see the majestic views below. Property management were professional and a pleasure to work with. I live two hours away. Will gdefinitely be back! Thank you!

Fantastic

We come to Flaggstaff a lot and this was hands down our favorite house. Huge yard for kids to play in, basketball court, game room with ping pong and pool. Fantastic. Group size was 13 people and the house still felt spacious. Mass was great as well… highly recommended

Special Place

The home is very clean, well furnished and has many amenities. The views are amazing and there is a lot of privacy. The home is spacious and there was lots of room for our group of 8. We recommend this place.
