Hosts were great communicators, although when asked, we were told to take cooking basics (salt, pepper, tea and coffee etc) and cleaning products as they wouldnt be provided. „This was a really perfect stay. Just as described and really beautiful. Everything we and our pup needed for a rainy few days at the beach. „The lodge is located a bit higher than the neighbour lodges and therefore the view to the Holy Loch was excellent. Each morning during breakfast you see the see in onother shape or colour due to weather conditions. „We really enjoyed our stay. Apartment had all we needed. It was really spacious and beds were extremely comfortable. Showers were fantastic. Security was second to none as Donald Trump was staying next door the weekend we stayed! Was fun to watch his motorcade go by the end of the road. Even had drones flying over and reporters doing live broadcasts on the lawn on the front of the development. Will definitely be back but don’t think Donald will be here next time.“

"Old style country manor in a beautiful location and setting in the Ayrshire countryside. Staff very friendly and some of the public areas were beautiful (Grand Staircase a particular highlight) Breakfast buffet was also well worth the money, although the room was not the easiest to get to. BUT - the bedrooms need serious updating. Cleanliness was good but not great, floorboards creaked all over the place, bed was uncomfortable, bathroom had cracked tiles al over the place, one window was draughty and didn’t lock, and the bedroom in general felt like it was stuck in the 1980s. Such a shame and a stark contrast to the rest of the building. Would visit again just for the setting though."
