Make sure you allow time on your stay to walk the streets and enjoy the beautiful historic architecture as this place is located in the historic district and not far from downtown Macon. „We had a great time staying at the Asylum house. I will not lie it was a bit scary driving up. Once there it was a blast. Walking around the old Hospital grounds. We think we got some voice box recordings. Did hear some screams, well we think we did. Saw the old Prison creepy for sure. Must go to the old cemetery. Could have used more towels, but that would be the only down side. So if your looking for a place that has a past, this is the place. Its a must see for sure. Thanks. John. “

„I highly rate this place a 5, even though,1) there was an awful, awful smell in the hallway of the 4th floor and 2) there was uncovered food left in the fridge. I would definitely stay again and recommend. The location was perfect, being in the heart of downtown near lots of restaurants and close enough to the mall and other small shops.“
