The area is largely agricultural, with many dairy farms and green pastures. It is a truly beautiful part of NY State and we were very much looking forward to getting back there to visit. „The cabin was amazing, nice and quiet. The bunk house was perfect for the kids, gave them their own space to hang out in. Tons of wildlife, frogs, fish and the owl flew through a few times. We went up for "Pirates Weekend" at Alex's Bay, was a nice 25 min drive. Did the Uncle Sam's boat tour, stores were close enough for last min things. Would rent again!! “

„Great little cabin on a pretty, quiet pond. My son loved fishing in their rowboat. I loved reading on the porch. It was clean and well taken care of. It’s in a remote area so we brought food and laid low while we were there. Loved hearing the loons and watching the sunset. We had a great time and didn’t want to leave. Thank you! “

„We stayed a week. Had everything we needed which was great since I didn’t realize how much stuff I would actually need. The kids loved playing in the yard and finding “camping stuff” (sticks), loved putting their feet in the water. It was very convenient being so close to everything as well. The hill to get down was a little nerve racking but the kid thought it was fun. Overall was fun. “

„Stayed here for my anniversary! It was very cute! Great for a couple and their dog. Loved the outdoors feeling which is want I wanted for us. Didn’t mind not being in the middle of everything as I wanted calm and nature. I will say it is well water so if you don’t like the taste of that- make sure you buy bottled water. “

„Our family had a wonderful stay at Sunset Cottage. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed the lake and all the amenities that were provided. The cabin was just as described and any question or concern we had was answered promptly. It was the perfect vacation to slow down and make family memories. “

„The kitchen was very well stocked. Plenty of pots and pans and even an electric griddle for making pancakes. The refrigerator in the boat house saves lots of trips when you want to spend the day fishing on the dock. The foosball table was a delight for the grandkids (even though Grandpa was still able to beat them)! “
