„We just wanted a bed for the night but got a lot more. The Motel is so much nicer than pictured on the internet. The Nauvoo Mormon History Sites are nearby and the trip was a great experience.“

„To be honest, I pretty much just slept here at night I didn’t do much else. The listing is perfectly accurate, so you should know exactly what you’re getting. The porch swing and view of the Mississippi, especially at night, is incredible.“

„This is a great place with a beautiful view! It has everything you need for cooking and serving! The place was very clean and neat. The young people loved the pool. The only problem we had was several hornets nests, which caused three little kids to get stung. We bought spray and sprayed the nests.“

„Parking right at the door was convenient when we arrived after dark. All the rooms had everything we needed. Everything was clean. Plenty of outlets for charging etc. Great view of the river from indoors. Sliding door opens to deck with steps down to the yard and right down to the water. Very quiet neighborhood. “

„My wife and I stayed here for our Anniversary. This place was amazing, the pictures alone don't come close to showing how beautiful and great this place truly is. When I first came upon this place it was still under construction. I sent the owner a message to keep me updated on new pictures, which they did. They were also able to accommodate a last minute family emergency. I have shared this location to friends and family and I can't wait to stay at this location again in the future! “

„Great place to get away. It had all the amenities. We even saw deer when we first arrived. Host was always attentive to needs. The place was very clean, but the only drawback was a heavy smoke smell we got used to after being there a day in our 3 day stay. “

„We had a great time, it is a pretty cozy yet roomy suite with a lot of character. It had everything we needed, including for fixing dinner. And it has a great location The host was great to communicate with and the little restaurant downstairs has some amazing treats. We will definitely stay here again the next time we come to Nauvoo. “

„This is a nice property for a family - but I would not recommend it for couples because you have to walk through bedrooms to get to other bedrooms and the bathroom. It would not be good for older people because of the steep stairs.“

„We had a wonderful anniversary trip to Nauvoo. The historic and quaint Mix House added some period charm to our stay. While the house retains much of its 19th century charm, it has the modern conveniences needed for a relaxing stay. It may have been the off season, but food and meal choices were limited in Nauvoo itself. We were grateful for the items we ordered from The Apron Bake Shoppe.“

„The name is spot on - hideaway. Our family enjoyed a week here. So wonderful to get back to nature! Will book again for sure. The home is well appointed. The bug and sun sprays at the exits were wonderful as we forgot ours. The only thing I wished I had done was look to see what brand the king mattress in the downstairs was. I hadn't slept so good in yearsyears. “
