„This location is absolutely fantastic. Direct access to the Frio river for swimming, fishing or just enjoying the beautiful view. We were a family group of all ages, and everyone had a wonderful time. Easy communication with the owner for questions. Highly recommend.“

„Very clean and cozy. Right next to the highway and less than a 10 minute drive to Garner State Park and even closer to some great places to eat. My wife enjoyed herself which is the most important thing to have happen. Thank you!“

„We were 10 people. One family of 5 stayed in the bunkhouse, one family upstairs and 1 couple downstairs. We had plenty of room and it was comfortable. There was good water in the river. It is a quiet and peaceful location. We enjoyed our stay and would return. “

„August 2025 family vacation was great the whiskey mountain Valley Cabins were amazing from check in to check out. Check-in was a breeze. The owners made it very easy and very straightforward with how to check in, they even let us know if that the cabin was ready way before our check in. The kitchen was great. They were fully equipped with utensils, pots and pans they provided a coffee maker and microwave. Everything was great. The cabin was literally like in their description just minutes away ...

„We had a group of 14 (preteens, teens, & adults) and stayed for 4 nights. We loved how everything was set up. The bunkhouse was the perfect setup for the teens. We loved how close to town the house is and just a short drive to Garner. With the houses, pool, river, pavilion, and games we had everything we needed right there. Thanks so much for hosting us!“

„Great place on the Frio, very spacious, nice rooms and porch deck (as well as pavilion down by the river). Host was great. The bunk house worked out well for the college kids and the 3 rooms for the adults/parents. We hope to stay there again next year.“

„This was exactly what we were needing! The cottage is adorable and private, which we loved. The sunrises and sunsets were breathtaking! We spent hours in the afternoons enjoying the river and I think our dogs enjoyed it more than we did! It was flowing nicely, clear and cold. We love the Frio, it’s always been our happy place! We will be back! “

„Perfect get away for our family. We had our small grandchildren with us and they loved playing in the shallow areas of the river. The cabin has a nice back porch with a great view of the river. The host was very responsive and accommodating. We would definitely stay there again!“

"Schon sehr runter gekommen. Für eine Nacht erträglich. Frühstück fiel fast aus , da der Guy nicht gekommen. Mann an der Rezeption war sehr bemüht, zu retten, was zu retten war."
