The only problem we had was several hornets nests, which caused three little kids to get stung. We bought spray and sprayed the nests.“

„This is a nice property for a family - but I would not recommend it for couples because you have to walk through bedrooms to get to other bedrooms and the bathroom. It would not be good for older people because of the steep stairs.“

„We had a great time, it is a pretty cozy yet roomy suite with a lot of character. It had everything we needed, including for fixing dinner. And it has a great location The host was great to communicate with and the little restaurant downstairs has some amazing treats. We will definitely stay here again the next time we come to Nauvoo. “

„Tony was very responsive at communications and wonderful (remote) host! The home is secluded, clean, and so much space inside it's crazy! We needed a break from work and the QC and found this to be the perfect break we needed. So many awsome things to do within 35 mintues! Kudo's Tony on your service and the property!“

While the house retains much of its 19th century charm, it has the modern conveniences needed for a relaxing stay. It may have been the off season, but food and meal choices were limited in Nauvoo itself. We were grateful for the items we ordered from The Apron Bake Shoppe.“

„The name is spot on - hideaway. Our family enjoyed a week here. So wonderful to get back to nature! Will book again for sure. The home is well appointed. The bug and sun sprays at the exits were wonderful as we forgot ours. The only thing I wished I had done was look to see what brand the king mattress in the downstairs was. I hadn't slept so good in yearsyears. “
