„A wonderful cottage and a very nice interior. Ric as a host was absolutely easygoing und caring. Any request he answered within shortest time, which made us feel welcome and looked after very well. The cottage is very spacious and it was a terrific idea to change one of the former bedrooms into a huge bathroom. Heating and fireplace was working perfectly. We had ten wonderful days in Whitstable, where we come to for new year for nearly twenty years now ...“

„Although the accommodation is small it has everything you need and plenty of storage. We only used the kettle and toaster in the kitchenette but there was a hot plate and microwave too so we could have cooked if we wanted. The garden is a lovely place to sit and hidden from the road (cul de sac) by bushes. It’s not the sort of place you’d spend the whole day in due to its size but that is reflected in the price so it’s perfect for a short stay where one might be out for most of the day. However ...

The heating was on a schedule such that at night the temperature in the house was around 6 degrees giving me a backache until I asked the owner to keep the temperature at a constant 23 degrees. There no toiletries provided till I asked the owner to provide them. There was only one bowl for porridge until I asked for more of the owner. „Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub in Whitstable. Das Cottage ist mit allem eingerichtet, was man braucht. Es liegt direkt um die Ecke zur Hauptstraße, dort findet man alle möglichen netten Geschäfte. Trotzdem ist die Lage ruhig, man kann bei gutem Wetter entspannt den kleinen aber sehr hübschen Garten genießen. Die Parkplatzsuche war teilweise etwas aufwändig, wir haben aber immer relativ schnell einen Parkplatz in der Nähe gefunden. “

It was in a quiet position and not far from the centre of Whitstable, either by walking along the beach or driving. Parking is tricky in Whitstable though. „This property is well located approximately 20-25 minutes walk from the main town centre. It's in a quiet residential block. There is no allocated parking but we had no problem parking less than 30 seconds walk from the house. The house is set over two floors. On the first floor you enter a hallway with the stair to the right of you. “

"Die Ausstattung ist etwas veraltet, selbst am Waschbecken gibt es getrennte Warm- und Kaltwasserhähne. Positiv hervorzuheben sind jedoch die ausgezeichnete Lage, der freundliche Service, der gepflegte Garten und das gute Frühstück."

"Das Himmer (3-Bett) hatte eine schöne Größe und war ruhig gelegen. Von der Straße hörte man kaum was. Das Personal war stets freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Essen war auch echt gut :) Morgens wie Abends. Das Stadtzentrum liegt 20 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt."

Great location for visit of old town

"This hotel is located superbly close to the inner city of Canterbury. You are literally a one minute walk away from the pedestrian zone. It is a little bit hard to find, but the staff is nice. The only problem is that there are no (free) parking spaces around. We were contacted a few days via e-mail before our stay by the hotel, which can provide you with a discount for one of the pay-parking lots."
