„The house was secluded so that was a huge plus. Plenty of parking as well if you have multiple cars. Communication with host was lacking until the week of the stay. That aside, very nice stay.“

„Location is ideal. Room was mostly as advertised. No info about how to operate the TV or the wi fi password in the room. Communication w proprietor was not great. Bathroom had no shower curtain. Beds comfy. Heating worked great. Didn’t try the AC. Frig clean and functional. Nice budget stay for an overnight en route to Mackinac Island. “

„Very pleased. Although the mattresses on the beds are very hard. Would suggest the following to make guests more comfortable: hooks for clothing and wet towels. There is no place to hang anything in the bedrooms or bathrooms. Waste basket in bathroom. Fitted sheets on bunk beds. Another chair by the couch area. Stools at breakfast bar nice. Take the plastic off light in bunk bed area. Not safe and could melt to glass if it hasn’t already. New Broom. I will upload photos. “

„After reading the reviews I was a little worried on booking, but I was like hey everyone has a different experience. The house was very clean! Our favorite view was from the backyard/sunroom. Nothing beats that beautiful view! The only thing bad that I have to say is if you like a little night pizza to snack on bring your own pizza cutter! But otherwise our stay was wonderful. The host communicated back with us in a timely manner. I would definitely stay at this location again. “

„We only needed a clean, comfortable place to rest while driving a long ways and this definitely fit the bill! There is a lot of potential and an outdoor light is needed for late arrivals but very easy and fit our purposes perfectly!“

„The beds were very uncomfortable and the blankets had cigarette burns in them. There are no hooks in the bathroom to hang anything up. There was dust everywhere and on the blinds, and the refrigerator froze our food. Also the faucet in the bathroom shot water sideways, like a prank water fountain and no broom to sweep sand that is tracked in. The hotel pool area was kinda scary looking- we didn’t use the pool. The view from the cabin front door was exceptional, tho.“

„We really enjoyed our time at the home. It was very clean and organized. We enjoyed the neighborhood and very close to lots of touristy locations. Thank you!“

„We rented this house for a wedding and were incredible pleased with all aspects of our stay. The house looks exactly as it does in the pictures. And more importantly all the amenities worked during our stay. The sauna, the jacuzzi, the movie room. It was spotless when we arrived both inside and out. There was lots of space for 20 guests who stayed in the house. We would definitely stay again!!“

„Had a great stay at the Crooked Tree cottage. Excellent service and hospitality. Unit could use some minor updates but well stocked. No issues and would stay again. Thanks for a wonderful stay! “

„It was a nice clean place and cozy. But we didn't know that there were 5 units in the building. Didn't know which unit was ours until the property manager helped us. So, maybe communicate better with your guests prior to arrival as to which unit is the one that is theirs. Also, could use more hooks in the bathroom to hang things and a blackout panel would've been nice on the entry door. Too much light from the street light. “

„Within a two hour radius of this property, you can visit many interesting and beautiful sites. The property description and pictures are spot on. It was cold while we were there and we feared that the school house would be drafty. No worries --- we were very comfortable inside and didn't notice the need for jackets until walking out the front door. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone.“

"Poorly soundproofed, had a room with a window into the hallway outside, basically no daylight. Felt I was in the basement. Was supposed to get an upgrade. Told me they were full. Had to buses. It read vacancy outside. Mackinaw city feels like a tourist trap. If you go offseason, don’t book ahead, go to one of the many motels."
