Best kept secret in Humbolt

I love this gorgeous Victorian retreat! Perfect location on the waterfront for sightseeing and shopping. Morning coffee with the loveliest view from the eat-in kitchen. Charming is an understatement! I cannot wait to come back again.

Lovely home and location!

We had a wonderful stay. The flat is beautifully decorated, bed was comfy, amenities were ample. We enjoyed being able to amble into the historical district and to the boardwalk. We would have liked to have a little map, so we went to tourist information and left one in the flat. Would definitely stay again.

Cute house in a great location. Not a lot of soundproofing between floors so you will hear other guests and be prepared to take baths (clawfoot tub doesn’t work well as a shower).

Beautiful little apartment downtown.

We stayed at this charming apartment for a couple days while visiting a local friend. It was an easy check in/checkout process. The place was clean, the beds and pillows were extremely comfortable! We loved being close to walk to coffee, shops, and dinner. Vacasa made everything so easy! I would definitely stay at another Vacasa property!

So nice we brought the family back

We have loved staying in this house, first two years ago in the downstairs unit on an anniversary trip and this summer with the whole family for our summer vacation. The house is located in a convenient place, walkable to the old town. The space was perfect for our family of 6 and we enjoyed the freedom to come back and forth

Rainy days

We got to stay for 1 rainy night out of 3 before a family emergency shortened our stay at 8pm the 2nd night. The upstairs unit was nice. Got soaked from pouring rain every time we had to punch in the code. Kitchen was well supplied, bedrooms were comfortable. Seating in Living Room was good.

Lovely little Victorian in Old Town Eureka

The apartment was very clean and well decorated. Easy access and central to every where we wanted to go. The hardwood floors are just gorgeous but there were a few exposed nails that caused us to loose some socks. Hopefully this can be fixed without loosing those pretty floors. The shower curtain rail also needs some repair. Overall, a lovely stay.

Great location, beautiful house!

Our family of 4 had a great time. Pros: The house is beautiful and conveniently located. Everything was well stocked, clean, and welcoming. Cons: noise travels through the floors and there is another rental downstairs. We heard them a bit, and we were notified that we needed to keep it down one morning. With 2 kids, it was hard to keep totally quiet, so this might not be the best choice if you have little kids.

Come and Roomy

There was plenty of space and accommodations for all three of us. The kitchen was just right. If you like more than salt and pepper, you'll need to bring spices with you. My one complaint is that the windows were all sealed shut. It would have been amazing to have been able to open them and get the breeze.

Nice comfortable place to stay

Our family enjoyed staying here after being cooped up in a SF hotel for several days, since we could spread out into separate beds in separate rooms. We made use of all four beds (the king, the queen, the queen sofa, and the twin rollaway), which was great although the living area was tight once both the sofa and twin bed were set up. The single bathroom recommends limiting showers to conserve hot water, which we followed and didn't encounter issues. The kitchen had all the necessary equipment and supply of dishes, with the exception of coffee mugs for some reason. The Wifi coverage in this upstairs unit was very spotty and slow. We found that we were much better off just using our cell phone hotspot. Otherwise we enjoyed our 2-night stay here in Eureka and found that the check-in/out process was a breeze.

Not a safe feeling rental

This house made me feel very unsafe someone else stayed downstairs and it made me feel very uncomfortable thinking they could walk through the door while I was sleeping. The dish machine was filled with old water that had a horrible smell. The hot water was not hot for more than 5 minutes to shower. No fans and the air wouldn’t drop temp. Outside when we pulled up there were so many bums walking around. This location was not safe for me at all.

Great location, super clean

This cute Victorian is in a perfect location, right on the waterfront and walking distance to many sights. Although the kitchen was not particularly well equipped, the unit was very clean and pleasantly decorated. We had a bit of an issue with the security light going on and off all night which flooded the bedroom with light and kept us from sleeping. (Racoons triggered the motion-sensored light.) I understand the need for a security light, but suggest black out curtains so sleep is possible.

Great house in a good location

Our stay was wonderful. Location is perfect for walking to restaurants (and a few were open for dine-in). The house was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. One thing to note the rooms don’t have good blinds or blackout curtains so if you are a light sensitive sleeper bring eye mask.
